Today, I want to share a few projects I created for a recent swap I participated in. The swap was hosted by Traci, the owner of Art Attack Supplies over on Facebook and it was a sweets themed swap. I chose cupcakes as my theme and we were to create a bottle cap charm, a card, an altered journal and an additional handmade goody of our choice.We also had to make sure our projects were all packaged up in a pretty fashion.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmIyX3RG_3vQclOIEMKsz2qNH9sMWDDuoLuY5IJVJjDdcyj5qZpaHDBVUlBow3xxPYEtvcAEmIKoOEBbZ-0AiyKBEW-00uqPmJsw88P_xD1yGC_oIpPUhNshtWUaYeLEFt43bwroANZO4/s1600/DSC06191.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmIyX3RG_3vQclOIEMKsz2qNH9sMWDDuoLuY5IJVJjDdcyj5qZpaHDBVUlBow3xxPYEtvcAEmIKoOEBbZ-0AiyKBEW-00uqPmJsw88P_xD1yGC_oIpPUhNshtWUaYeLEFt43bwroANZO4/s400/DSC06191.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here's the bottle cap charm that I created. I purchased the cupcake images on etsy, punched one out and covered it with an epoxy sticker. I added glass beads and cute metal charms to dangle from the chain. For the packaging, I used my Spellbinders Curvy Rectangles die and cut out a thin piece of chipboard and covered it with a piece of pretty pattern paper.I used thin wire to keep my bottle cap charm in place.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbIjPIsMKon6QWz8uwAqYFG9z-EPXz-2GfrkFV1ISV66LMiDwbLhZ_p_SbwQOznQLggfTcXimI7rTvPNxDKPNQCTBmn5gsNDSk3jorBprkVAG36wEjse8iikvCiK5jKoYMNgTswom0qPc/s1600/DSC06164.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbIjPIsMKon6QWz8uwAqYFG9z-EPXz-2GfrkFV1ISV66LMiDwbLhZ_p_SbwQOznQLggfTcXimI7rTvPNxDKPNQCTBmn5gsNDSk3jorBprkVAG36wEjse8iikvCiK5jKoYMNgTswom0qPc/s400/DSC06164.JPG" width="336" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I embossed a small glassine bag, and placed the bottle cap charm inside. Then I added a paper doily and a cute tag I created using Spellbinders dies, Avery Elle's cupcake stamp set and coordinating die, and a wood clothespin.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrLDlsS0wkGWxBIGkegte8VtOWOg482YBFTpriikyAn7_pEnC3A3EkMdqfQlfv0HSfkiLCKeo1DaT2cKszMvxE9W7-rmff1ozcMJbbmE_UdbL6y9pySIVDXY1O_B4A7sBXNgLv-zV_QHo/s1600/DSC06147.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="357" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrLDlsS0wkGWxBIGkegte8VtOWOg482YBFTpriikyAn7_pEnC3A3EkMdqfQlfv0HSfkiLCKeo1DaT2cKszMvxE9W7-rmff1ozcMJbbmE_UdbL6y9pySIVDXY1O_B4A7sBXNgLv-zV_QHo/s400/DSC06147.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Next up is the Cupcake card! I used some pretty pattern papers from my stash, tulle and a pretty doily to create layers for my card. The large cupcake was die cut from an older Sizzix die called Cupcake and Cherry. I did some stitching on the cupcake liner, created a seam binding bow and a little tag stamped hello. I think it turned out so cute! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaRgHGHScW1sooQO4ZfFgp3P7pe19XVF3sNz5gsRC0jQQSLdLtpShU3ITpV02DWvlewKLKmsBPTJS6ux_JRQKyROVnDIbXs051RUwuX1W3m6BxLfCJEBI6lw7833nurgg16_mVuriRmxg/s1600/DSC06154.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="323" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaRgHGHScW1sooQO4ZfFgp3P7pe19XVF3sNz5gsRC0jQQSLdLtpShU3ITpV02DWvlewKLKmsBPTJS6ux_JRQKyROVnDIbXs051RUwuX1W3m6BxLfCJEBI6lw7833nurgg16_mVuriRmxg/s400/DSC06154.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I created a coordinating card box to package the card. The box is made out of white card stock and then covered with pattern paper. I made a cute paper rosette and topped it off with a bottle cap and sweet cupcake image. The rosette is adhered to a white satin ribbon belly band.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBt8DNn4-j1f6pBU4AVufS_3t0bKBz1_EO6ad3VMrwCE3g9f_6330SmUpbgZ-6KeoiNx7nGbr9CFa_v487Sx18FBLouqvSdFrOmtBQDDwCY1bZArmd0FQ5YUUde9_1NcyGk5Tqe6kXHD8/s1600/DSC06181.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="387" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBt8DNn4-j1f6pBU4AVufS_3t0bKBz1_EO6ad3VMrwCE3g9f_6330SmUpbgZ-6KeoiNx7nGbr9CFa_v487Sx18FBLouqvSdFrOmtBQDDwCY1bZArmd0FQ5YUUde9_1NcyGk5Tqe6kXHD8/s400/DSC06181.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And here's the altered journal. I found the journal at my local craft store, covered it with layers of card stock and pattern papers. Then I added a bit of lace and another paper doily. I found the vintage cupcake image online and thought it went perfectly with the papers.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9ce09pMWYH6cermFFETFHFddSbyDJRb6WgzwK4J-DDR0fA7pK_19jXnB3rsJd5vByqdIBpwlTazrnAjlYSkQ85NKAgn1tNEKAl1w3ckDgVsMrOdjjXJuiwXzP4YNtcshVuaDsJv_r0-M/s1600/DSC06184.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="366" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9ce09pMWYH6cermFFETFHFddSbyDJRb6WgzwK4J-DDR0fA7pK_19jXnB3rsJd5vByqdIBpwlTazrnAjlYSkQ85NKAgn1tNEKAl1w3ckDgVsMrOdjjXJuiwXzP4YNtcshVuaDsJv_r0-M/s400/DSC06184.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The pretty roses are from my stash and are covered with Diamond Dust for that "sugared" look. Then I added the Spellbinders die cut leaves to my flower clusters for a fuller look. I added a laser cut word at the bottom to complete the sweets theme.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-HhGOrA_xKiNlcVh-GuSbanM3yTMcFZsokQuAVzvZ1haXswBct1DE3Efy_VPcTKhsruCo-gvJh-lE-0JO6PyU3vxNDNvjB0TPaIn18ICW3olZeY7GVWTyfvLUl46Eu-K6fgpz8gVyyB4/s1600/DSC06197.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="271" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-HhGOrA_xKiNlcVh-GuSbanM3yTMcFZsokQuAVzvZ1haXswBct1DE3Efy_VPcTKhsruCo-gvJh-lE-0JO6PyU3vxNDNvjB0TPaIn18ICW3olZeY7GVWTyfvLUl46Eu-K6fgpz8gVyyB4/s400/DSC06197.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I kept the packaging simple by wrapping the journal in tissue paper and ribbon. Then I topped it off with a burlap rose and vintage tag.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZ3eaJKskdFkw5vr6ywnwDHeJVUxUseRl01rzbsTnMtklV4OYG5Ge5gEpXztGXr-Zhm6mOBGnLkHwpXY6cafUV_yBd1WdaNwMQwXcjL3kM1FYsn0z9HUdTZipZQNphA40-Hxne55p-zyQ/s1600/DSC06178.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZ3eaJKskdFkw5vr6ywnwDHeJVUxUseRl01rzbsTnMtklV4OYG5Ge5gEpXztGXr-Zhm6mOBGnLkHwpXY6cafUV_yBd1WdaNwMQwXcjL3kM1FYsn0z9HUdTZipZQNphA40-Hxne55p-zyQ/s400/DSC06178.JPG" width="370" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For my homemade goody of choice, I chose to make a cupcake shaped soap. It was my first time making soap and it was actually a lot of fun! I forgot to take pictures of the cupcake soap but you can see a little bit of it here, inside the oven box I packaged it in.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgivOnHUSs_uLj7lMrvHRgokiVDomvdn8DsbMFMc87J4kYEwzmSZs5PcxUELCfnfKZFtpEOQ3RvN8AwkJaZGFIYSy4i__ijAaGGtE4tKDgutCfxlL72OoAVdJbzdJO4MtAgvsrx9PUAqw/s1600/DSC06172.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgivOnHUSs_uLj7lMrvHRgokiVDomvdn8DsbMFMc87J4kYEwzmSZs5PcxUELCfnfKZFtpEOQ3RvN8AwkJaZGFIYSy4i__ijAaGGtE4tKDgutCfxlL72OoAVdJbzdJO4MtAgvsrx9PUAqw/s400/DSC06172.JPG" width="363" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I found the oven box template <a href="http://www.madebymarzipan.com/?tutorial=bitty-bakery-box-freebie" target="_blank">here</a>.(Thank you so much Marzi for the tutorial and template). I covered the box panels with paper as I was putting it together. Then I inked all my edges lightly with Vintage Photo Distress ink. I used metal brads for the "knobs", printed a tiny clock face and adhered it to the top. The burners are small circular paper clips I picked up at my local craft store.I also made a little oven mitt and hung it from a hook on the side of the oven box.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5SXVqt37DIsXtfTCoekuEZxZMBaljjTH9t0NtzKAG8a9Yt8MLIwwtewAZ29eZP6ULMaN8M_4OxM1v5IX7De5_2QbmdxWfXgaC25WdsJCDpZKjxoSr16_mgTKXd79imj4Vx8_nAIfDJSs/s1600/DSC06176.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5SXVqt37DIsXtfTCoekuEZxZMBaljjTH9t0NtzKAG8a9Yt8MLIwwtewAZ29eZP6ULMaN8M_4OxM1v5IX7De5_2QbmdxWfXgaC25WdsJCDpZKjxoSr16_mgTKXd79imj4Vx8_nAIfDJSs/s400/DSC06176.JPG" width="343" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I added a strip of decorative card stock and braided trim on the sides of the oven box to pretty it up some more.Then I created a seam binding bow and topped it off with a tiny cupcake cut out.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I had a lot of fun creating all these projects and I sure hope my swap partner likes them!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thanks so much for stopping by today!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'll be seeing you real soon.</div>

About two weeks ago, I walked into my local craft store to purchase some ribbon ( like I don't have enough, already) and witnessed the employees stocking the shelves with, with.. .(wait for it)....Halloween merchandise!!! Yes, you read that right! I literally let out a little shriek when I saw this beautiful sight. In case, you haven't guessed it yet, I really, really LOVE Halloween!<br />
Halloween is such a fun time of year for me and brings me back to my childhood. Growing up, I was that shy little kid who wasn't afraid of creepy crawlies and made up games about monsters and ghouls . I loved a good scare( although nothing ever scared me) and I favored dark colored clothes over bright and cheery colors. I would often wear my hair in braids like my idol Wednesday Addams.Sure, people made fun of me but I loved that I was different. Fast forward 30 years later and my love for Halloween hasn't wavered one bit. My taste in clothes and color schemes sure has, and you couldn't pay me to pick up a spider or worm. But every Halloween season, that little girl gets to come back and live on in the spooky crafts and decor that now, bring a smile to my little girl's face. So for my first Halloween project of the 2015 season, I bring you "Mr. Skeleton in his Parlor"...<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is a GDT for <a href="http://www.sacrafters.com/" target="_blank">Sacrafter's </a>shop. I used her <a href="http://www.sacrafters.com/product/house-shadow-box-no-2/" target="_blank">House Shadowbox #2</a> as well as her <a href="http://www.sacrafters.com/product/wooden-corner-street-light-no-3-3-pieces/" target="_blank">wood street light</a> pieces to create this spooktacular shadowbox scene.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtMZbOTMYDG4ca0zkIcdyxrdqdt2HWyLXSg6K0rqBoWv6ay_c63bcdxNi6ZBFtPaL1p_R3yDUurMqRJJhuCoeGhzMxWCp7O7Ktn1U-kTVVKeC9M6ZMf8PQGIlpLGrHNZoY1fbNUS1uA54/s1600/DSC06109.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtMZbOTMYDG4ca0zkIcdyxrdqdt2HWyLXSg6K0rqBoWv6ay_c63bcdxNi6ZBFtPaL1p_R3yDUurMqRJJhuCoeGhzMxWCp7O7Ktn1U-kTVVKeC9M6ZMf8PQGIlpLGrHNZoY1fbNUS1uA54/s400/DSC06109.JPG" width="381" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I wanted a "shingled" roof so I cut small pieces of pattern paper, inked the edges with Black Soot and adhered them to both sides of the roof.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd4vM-b7oe5fsocFlIuxDYuDnhj6XaJ2dVC7j7YriEMdZL4TsZRD4PfewWLzqeKNMHcfP17Ku2z3VkZSmWm_7TgWdBlrvnh3E3NvOgGY63XSWv5mpbQLZGInqOG3dxTVVPMAgh9iOF8Bc/s1600/DSC06112.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd4vM-b7oe5fsocFlIuxDYuDnhj6XaJ2dVC7j7YriEMdZL4TsZRD4PfewWLzqeKNMHcfP17Ku2z3VkZSmWm_7TgWdBlrvnh3E3NvOgGY63XSWv5mpbQLZGInqOG3dxTVVPMAgh9iOF8Bc/s400/DSC06112.JPG" width="285" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used Tim Holtz's Brick embossing folder on black card stock for the sides of the house. After embossing the paper I rubbed a metallic gunmetal paint on top to pick up the details of the bricks.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I made a little window out of pattern paper and the Movers and Shapers Openings dies.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwlPaBz51tYaAOEo6QRjvmepY4PBhEUd1Cclx97biEgn0Sw611Ai7pIQShBZ55PAdPZRBLdXg-7e5MFOEiaA0DP0SJERtf3cMNoRN7axdeWEP1hhDGjpo3xpvnl4wyfXabHawtEAmtP4U/s1600/DSC06114.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="348" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwlPaBz51tYaAOEo6QRjvmepY4PBhEUd1Cclx97biEgn0Sw611Ai7pIQShBZ55PAdPZRBLdXg-7e5MFOEiaA0DP0SJERtf3cMNoRN7axdeWEP1hhDGjpo3xpvnl4wyfXabHawtEAmtP4U/s400/DSC06114.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I added little "rose bushes" on each side of the house. Love the way that gunmetal paint looks on the brick embossed papers.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAuwnSulWKrD8m8AEVJiNhj6J3pbjUR5QBSA0W-0WKWBJG_IJK2BlRckIZurZvNE95UtGKjMY0aVuPIZ3D310rwaxX6kg-UxLuIyJuCx4ZGhK6G54QQfHvbwebY_RzUm0sXOfPjwFduwo/s1600/DSC06115.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="298" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAuwnSulWKrD8m8AEVJiNhj6J3pbjUR5QBSA0W-0WKWBJG_IJK2BlRckIZurZvNE95UtGKjMY0aVuPIZ3D310rwaxX6kg-UxLuIyJuCx4ZGhK6G54QQfHvbwebY_RzUm0sXOfPjwFduwo/s400/DSC06115.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the floor, I used the TH Wood Grain embossing folder and created "planks" with my MS scoring board. Can you see Mr. Skeleton's scaredy cat by his side?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

I love this cute little wreath! It's one of Tim's and I colored it with LSG in Passionate Plum, then sprayed it with adhesive before sprinkling with purple glitter. Then, I added the little orange stickers and the skull and crossbones Idea-ology piece.</div>

Here's a closer look at the inside of the shadowbox. You can see Mr. Skeleton reading his newspaper in the comfort of his parlor. The frame in the background was fussy cut from the patterned paper then I stamped and embossed the skull image in the center. I found the little wooden chair, book and lamp in the miniature section of my local craft store. The small side table is actually a wooden spool, painted black and distressed with sandpaper.</div>

Love how Mr. Skeleton is crossing his legs!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Phew, that was a lot of pictures but there were so many cute details I just didn't want you to miss. This piece was so fun to create and it's both creepy and fun. My daughter got a kick out of it and can't wait for me to create more Halloween pieces. Neither can I, bwahahaha!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hope you liked my little project and thank you so much for stopping by.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'll be seeing you...(insert maniacal laugh here).</div>

Today is my youngest daughter's 10 birthday!!! I cannot believe how fast time has gone by. I mean, I can still vividly remember the moment she was placed in my arms for the first time. How she looked up at me with those big brown eyes and melted my heart.Now, here we are ten years later and she still has that affect on me. So, I've got a fun filled day planned for her and she's going to empty my wallet, because I just can't say "no" to her ( and she knows it).But, hey, you only turn 10 once, right? Before we head off , I wanted to share the cute birthday card I created for her.<div>
<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihJ4JujLHC4sme8DDNlI38Ntq1475QhsSYnL99TkQK21QSncChwICuAtuNZKls5CC05ymM-8VjdYSD-zblDl-yvSojFB1BOMGoPQvgiI6-ZjkMxNJNWXa1bdh5OmiJUO52LgYuLvP229A/s1600/DSC06126.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihJ4JujLHC4sme8DDNlI38Ntq1475QhsSYnL99TkQK21QSncChwICuAtuNZKls5CC05ymM-8VjdYSD-zblDl-yvSojFB1BOMGoPQvgiI6-ZjkMxNJNWXa1bdh5OmiJUO52LgYuLvP229A/s400/DSC06126.JPG" width="381" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /><div style="text-align: center;">
Isn't it cute? I used Maggie Holmes' Confetti collection for my card. I think the bright colors and patterns are so fun and fit the mood of the card perfectly!</div>
</div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I fussy cut images from the paper pad and used a few ephemera pieces from the collection for a layered look. The cute cake is one of the chipboard pieces from the collection as well.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdVaP_qc9TiJ5Fn4_UM46tC_rkCEPa2YUIThX9Xbdr5MbpHelDiExpWKFprxmEyBPpDbWTDdXtERuo-5WNdFvutwoTAkKR-rIfo5zHW-s9V3ueXXn5v6nbMvNfVAL6Q36y_VeBzqLHlVI/s1600/DSC06128.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="296" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdVaP_qc9TiJ5Fn4_UM46tC_rkCEPa2YUIThX9Xbdr5MbpHelDiExpWKFprxmEyBPpDbWTDdXtERuo-5WNdFvutwoTAkKR-rIfo5zHW-s9V3ueXXn5v6nbMvNfVAL6Q36y_VeBzqLHlVI/s400/DSC06128.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I die cut the little banner out of gold foil paper and then die cut the individual pennants with scraps from the collection. It looks so cute and adds a festive touch.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdSVzyfiAO_w8-3kIQk-U8uWdrAZoALuRkLKby5_30JIvXraFClhpSf_2ZEUYdTOFtoaKyE0TTxWX3gNzKSDNF61F1yWrQTYt4A9G0C6suhT6C7CctyYDuD4qxSZHuLLvPij-YjSGq9hM/s1600/DSC06129.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdSVzyfiAO_w8-3kIQk-U8uWdrAZoALuRkLKby5_30JIvXraFClhpSf_2ZEUYdTOFtoaKyE0TTxWX3gNzKSDNF61F1yWrQTYt4A9G0C6suhT6C7CctyYDuD4qxSZHuLLvPij-YjSGq9hM/s400/DSC06129.JPG" width="351" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Lastly , I added a few gold sequins for a touch of sparkle.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I do hope my baby likes her card and now, I'm off to celebrate her birthday!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!!</div>

Man, it's been a busy summer!!! I'm sure you all can relate, right? With the kids being home from school and trying to find ways to entertain them,(so they don't kill each other,lol), it's hard to find time to craft.Plus I still have to clean house, run errands and you know, do everything else.Geez the never ending workload of a stay at home mom!!! But... I did manage to make some time to create 2 more projects for <a href="http://www.sacrafters.com/" target="_blank">Sacrafters</a> shop, this month. I will share one today and the other on the next post. Today's project is a storage unit for my craft table. I needed something to store some of my smaller laces and trims, and Sacrafter's Cupboard w/ shadowbox was just perfect for the task.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV0XwEV7GSkYBhAgUsJ01XQQpW-7BPJjJQ1Ut8Zc2DMIzZAZVdHUD0ilha3o_5_ULZMbhPyyEYXQ5NiflLq2BstPhtAZvZqDg8QwL9zrNFTkCj8L8YwsZ2tMvqEUO2Z8DelpnpSIBpg6o/s1600/DSC06084.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="348" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV0XwEV7GSkYBhAgUsJ01XQQpW-7BPJjJQ1Ut8Zc2DMIzZAZVdHUD0ilha3o_5_ULZMbhPyyEYXQ5NiflLq2BstPhtAZvZqDg8QwL9zrNFTkCj8L8YwsZ2tMvqEUO2Z8DelpnpSIBpg6o/s400/DSC06084.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Like all of Sacrafter's products, this was so easy to put together. I painted all the surfaces that were not going to be covered with paper, with a light gray acrylic paint I mixed myself.Then I adhered all my papers, buffed the edges and inked them with Tim Holtz's Pumice Stone Distress Ink. The papers I used are from Kaisercraft's Rustic Harmony collection and are just dreamy!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgREgbGkEXX98ZrJv7ynCHkm0fe8qCT9BQEu_kHNFCorOfnSqBLctPlSTUY1RlBCx1A6pTeCxVs0ng6dyh_8buHP-pzk-EOeTqmLNuOTH8bplXwDFy4ntsToc_txeopmePyiO8U-FsDgTY/s1600/DSC06088.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="278" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgREgbGkEXX98ZrJv7ynCHkm0fe8qCT9BQEu_kHNFCorOfnSqBLctPlSTUY1RlBCx1A6pTeCxVs0ng6dyh_8buHP-pzk-EOeTqmLNuOTH8bplXwDFy4ntsToc_txeopmePyiO8U-FsDgTY/s400/DSC06088.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I didn't want to over embellish the top of the cupboard so I just added a wooden frame, a few of the coordinating die cuts, flowers and bits of lace. I threw in a few pearls here and there for good measure.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKrbXMwb-n0Ptyr1zZpmxr0WbbrqQRcT_PbboxW9059QY8reGBdxvZZIFw3fJxCg67X6v2lGxJme73smb3v0td-GhUaRpy1DdsAybbs-_WI9ZZ9vZgdcOr9nLui0-Y-fV8oRlt7_do-qA/s1600/DSC06091.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKrbXMwb-n0Ptyr1zZpmxr0WbbrqQRcT_PbboxW9059QY8reGBdxvZZIFw3fJxCg67X6v2lGxJme73smb3v0td-GhUaRpy1DdsAybbs-_WI9ZZ9vZgdcOr9nLui0-Y-fV8oRlt7_do-qA/s400/DSC06091.JPG" width="367" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I spattered paint on the entire piece just to give it a more rustic feel. I really love the wood grain paper I used on the sides. Really looks great!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGCL0yuDgg_9LQuHl_YWAmRKWZkCcTJ5G3aT7UsPjBNGS3aBwjdfrU8gRHS3FrmsyC1Eu_AHEetfvKrJGk-kXpgoCIRSQx2-CiBiNj0cRyuTQCCbKrIuHRlwo7sI78ilGb6Rb5FNqYTuY/s1600/DSC06092.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="387" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGCL0yuDgg_9LQuHl_YWAmRKWZkCcTJ5G3aT7UsPjBNGS3aBwjdfrU8gRHS3FrmsyC1Eu_AHEetfvKrJGk-kXpgoCIRSQx2-CiBiNj0cRyuTQCCbKrIuHRlwo7sI78ilGb6Rb5FNqYTuY/s400/DSC06092.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here you can see the spools I used to hold the wooden frame up, on top. I painted them with the same light gray paint mixture and wrapped coordinating ribbon and lace around them.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJaqFB-dFUU4IPJrH6vkGJXnXsEcV_5Aq3DDU7D1SjUYFGaal742In0IgTnoqcSfJKJgix0r_f55QH4LI3fGzrg6yRiB0i29xQj3HIzLuyx68VYhbI01fMYxLtPBksr1rb_vsD1Re_Ztg/s1600/DSC06090.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="340" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJaqFB-dFUU4IPJrH6vkGJXnXsEcV_5Aq3DDU7D1SjUYFGaal742In0IgTnoqcSfJKJgix0r_f55QH4LI3fGzrg6yRiB0i29xQj3HIzLuyx68VYhbI01fMYxLtPBksr1rb_vsD1Re_Ztg/s400/DSC06090.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The shadowbox area is perfect to store these simple lace cards. It fits quite a bit of them in there.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM8vSLcLCsPjuhkaaWE9JJ7FkcXl038vFqodmPkV6i3Hpfm2aHLFqcYMQHGxw9L4ePdbQKpwA59y92vn4XE6o-rzEwMMEZgjcYbKO1VibjKQtHWSdPUH5dbfsADvle5bG4YPT9tqd0LP8/s1600/DSC06086.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="338" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM8vSLcLCsPjuhkaaWE9JJ7FkcXl038vFqodmPkV6i3Hpfm2aHLFqcYMQHGxw9L4ePdbQKpwA59y92vn4XE6o-rzEwMMEZgjcYbKO1VibjKQtHWSdPUH5dbfsADvle5bG4YPT9tqd0LP8/s400/DSC06086.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The door pulls are Kaisercraft's wood flourishes with a G45 metal brad in the middle. I took the prongs off the brads, painted them with gunmetal paint and then dabbed light gray acrylic paint t the tops. Perfect little door pulls!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieF8PyvJwgIfZuBVPgKsmk7Pozv_TWYu-ubLMty2VjU-XWJc3hmjEOkPLN1Qgrbdp8qoU4g5VTIXveL_A1sYfFjvJUL_KjHB4WxVSJek_Mfme6kxBQh-Ld2BuwyU9UMB0J1kapWvCZqx4/s1600/DSC06097.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="352" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieF8PyvJwgIfZuBVPgKsmk7Pozv_TWYu-ubLMty2VjU-XWJc3hmjEOkPLN1Qgrbdp8qoU4g5VTIXveL_A1sYfFjvJUL_KjHB4WxVSJek_Mfme6kxBQh-Ld2BuwyU9UMB0J1kapWvCZqx4/s400/DSC06097.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Behind the doors is storage space for more lace cards or spools. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
What a great piece! It was so much fun to alter and it looks so pretty sitting on my table. When I need to reach for some of my favorite smaller, laces all I have to do is reach across the table and there they are.</div>

Today, I'm coming at you with my first GDT project for <a href="http://www.sacrafters.com/" target="_blank">Sacrafters</a> shop, for the month of July. Sa sent me so many awesome goodies to alter and I always get so excited when I'm asked to guest design for her shop.One of the first things I noticed, in my DT package, was a cute little serving tray. Having recently picked up Tim Holtz Tea Time die, I thought of a great way to incorporate the two into a cute embellishment center. Check it out!<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the largest of the <a href="http://www.sacrafters.com/product/w-tray-9x6x1/" target="_blank">serving trays</a> available in Sa's shop and was so easy to put together. I painted all the exposed parts with Bleached Sand acrylic paint by Americana and then I covered it with papers from Tilda's Tiny Treasures paper pad. I just adore this paper pad for all it's sweet images and gorgeous papers! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
All the edges were distressed with a sanding block to give it an aged look. Then I adhered a pretty floral trim all around the tray and flat back pearl trim on top of that.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I created small flower clusters on each handle side with die cuts from the paper pad and flowers from my stash.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm so in love with the gorgeous prints of this paper collection.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So shabby chic!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The sweet tea cups were created with Tim Holtz Tea Time die. I die cut the tea cups and saucers from the paper collection and made them 3D. If you're interested to see how I did that, go check out my mini tutorial, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqx2Y0hBb64" target="_blank">here</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6ETNsEogSVvre_5QC_AoCBLbSqE885HYN5BufEdlvJNMWChZ9HPICNTRGaJLcGQ5N1QBcpW4arH49j8M8YWgQRbiAXRE4cA9X3YmadKPe-dLUD0sazmP-neTI1rLV3c6NAYi5fPK749c/s1600/DSC05680.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6ETNsEogSVvre_5QC_AoCBLbSqE885HYN5BufEdlvJNMWChZ9HPICNTRGaJLcGQ5N1QBcpW4arH49j8M8YWgQRbiAXRE4cA9X3YmadKPe-dLUD0sazmP-neTI1rLV3c6NAYi5fPK749c/s400/DSC05680.JPG" width="343" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I added a flower die cut piece to the front of each tea cup. Then I made the cute little tags and glued them to the inside of the tea cup. I filled each tea cup with shredded tissue and tiny fabric flowers. And now I have a really cute embellishment center for my craft table! I can switch out the embellishments to suit the project I'm working on and the tray serves as a pretty decor piece.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

It's been a few weeks since I posted anything on my blog, but I got a good reason, I promise. You see, I uh...lost my mojo. I know, I know, that's crazy right? I tried and tried to sit down and create something pretty, but my mind was just blank. Nothing was coming to me and I was just dying to create!After several days of ,well, nothing, I decided to take a break and just ride this one out. I've been stressing out a lot lately and I think that had a lot to do with me not being able to create. I knew my mojo wasn't gone forever ( or so I hoped). I think I just needed a little "me" time with no DT projects and commitments. Sure enough, a few days ago, I was finally able to sit down and like magic, all my creative juices started flowing again! Yippee, my mojo was back! I've never been happier to get my hands all inky and create a mess in my craft space,lol. Today I'm sharing the fruits of my labor, a true labor of love.<br />
<div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPz7dn0u9SUss2x1ctjdn_e4QkBdU4X6AKTBIkOH2-kpNGz4GwUY57KY6CnbJZLjFL_JBAXk6GqLk86YTPUWmSytDF1_tVef9uOEgG4bHF12a8ODdc-oQ2SisjZmoFbPAZlgMSPmzXi5E/s1600/DSC05585.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="357" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPz7dn0u9SUss2x1ctjdn_e4QkBdU4X6AKTBIkOH2-kpNGz4GwUY57KY6CnbJZLjFL_JBAXk6GqLk86YTPUWmSytDF1_tVef9uOEgG4bHF12a8ODdc-oQ2SisjZmoFbPAZlgMSPmzXi5E/s400/DSC05585.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You have no idea how happy it made me to finally craft! I had recently purchased Kaisercraft's "Oh so Lovely" paper pack and I was inspired by the beautiful mother/daughter sentiments throughout the collection. So, I decided to alter a photo tray, I had picked up at my local craft store, and create a tribute to the special bond I have with my girls.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOBK4Q3XklB1TjjT8HFjvBogPSeYy3rEZpMWlq3OeKvHxaOiYh16LF8sQ5Q-b6UWR6Qd2buRcYutlLnXVlK3b-_4Oe2AD3G-X4eUbnRXJS8wyfjE0KwfDu6IhTUegg_VRdY3DPjgEbZDY/s1600/DSC05567.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="258" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOBK4Q3XklB1TjjT8HFjvBogPSeYy3rEZpMWlq3OeKvHxaOiYh16LF8sQ5Q-b6UWR6Qd2buRcYutlLnXVlK3b-_4Oe2AD3G-X4eUbnRXJS8wyfjE0KwfDu6IhTUegg_VRdY3DPjgEbZDY/s400/DSC05567.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I wanted the tray to be bright, fun and feminine. The girls and I took silly selfies that I changed to black and white to coordinate better with the paper collection. I added bits of lace and sweet feminine touches throughout the tray.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYkC9Y-T97YrrJESEp-vwdVEhW4oosX6H4U84zxwuNWMpejHhbIrMzT9IXCnWU6-e2QDdJ9stG8NuFMYMEHYUkzd7TwROWlkfEabsuijG_Wdt7jY0-HQTKA0EHbuhN3w_C01-e54jwxbQ/s1600/DSC05566.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="278" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYkC9Y-T97YrrJESEp-vwdVEhW4oosX6H4U84zxwuNWMpejHhbIrMzT9IXCnWU6-e2QDdJ9stG8NuFMYMEHYUkzd7TwROWlkfEabsuijG_Wdt7jY0-HQTKA0EHbuhN3w_C01-e54jwxbQ/s400/DSC05566.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I love the look of bare wood embellishments,that's why I left the word "Smile" as it was. The frame was die cut from chipboard and pattern paper and then I cut it in half.The sentiment in the center is from the coordinating Collectables pack by Kaisercraft.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5mPdfSuOKXFLMKCWj99H7hYbYwb6p-PC7ShyOh3IIEggG09CDEJMd0RNT8xoYyTTr_xLjMTOIUBYMYOsENSJFYAcDfaJg3D_8cxsq8QiSibpHHVysujivHv2qe7WgibCi8FGVSfKI7r4/s1600/DSC05568.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="260" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5mPdfSuOKXFLMKCWj99H7hYbYwb6p-PC7ShyOh3IIEggG09CDEJMd0RNT8xoYyTTr_xLjMTOIUBYMYOsENSJFYAcDfaJg3D_8cxsq8QiSibpHHVysujivHv2qe7WgibCi8FGVSfKI7r4/s400/DSC05568.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
This is the sentiment that inspired the entire tray. I popped it onto another die cut piece and layered it over a paper doily. The birdcage was fussy cut from the collection and I also added two glass vials on the lower right hand corner. The vials are filled with tiny beads from my stash.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifN0OV3XRbZRIM5pGKT0y7LM1VZDWLu8DAFP_KJy8aFfgqjGG2ucrLyB29VX6QTHMm-sM3sgUQu-gL34FPEwSG0VHi-A7c-yytd5n7I62xhvm2z6iA3-eGzR3qt_rensFFUn51boFR6bI/s1600/DSC05569.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="262" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifN0OV3XRbZRIM5pGKT0y7LM1VZDWLu8DAFP_KJy8aFfgqjGG2ucrLyB29VX6QTHMm-sM3sgUQu-gL34FPEwSG0VHi-A7c-yytd5n7I62xhvm2z6iA3-eGzR3qt_rensFFUn51boFR6bI/s400/DSC05569.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Here's a silly picture of my oldest daughter and I . She has a habit of taking pictures with half her face gone,lol. I added a cute resin bicycle and lots of handmade flowers. The words are stickers that I cut up and popped up with foam tape.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzoRH0G6EF6Zeho8WXhi7LJDVjIEbW8MSMzvN6t6Za3T2URBqIRyz1PgmwiHeu1Fog_0bwsxUAAAG_JabNRR2uEowCVStJNyjFIOxqSZ634s1fW7UedtMS6_kbzi2RkmR6JuY9DoFAOF4/s1600/DSC05571.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="261" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzoRH0G6EF6Zeho8WXhi7LJDVjIEbW8MSMzvN6t6Za3T2URBqIRyz1PgmwiHeu1Fog_0bwsxUAAAG_JabNRR2uEowCVStJNyjFIOxqSZ634s1fW7UedtMS6_kbzi2RkmR6JuY9DoFAOF4/s400/DSC05571.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I created a cute little banner to spell out "Love" and adhered it to the top of the compartment. Here's another silly picture of my little girl and I.A bit of lace and pearls round out this compartment.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHqTMu_HemMhAN0oMJ7lb9Ti5YDrvUyCOFu4E5An4h2ZdLcOq9cLDAUbUc0HMLSmBYuNp8zSz6hHyHCqHjXQBlct2A_T41-1vpNPrYOpgv2Wl74tzt95UW4ZDYPBJMFxy-z1GIqjIuOZI/s1600/DSC05570.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="246" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHqTMu_HemMhAN0oMJ7lb9Ti5YDrvUyCOFu4E5An4h2ZdLcOq9cLDAUbUc0HMLSmBYuNp8zSz6hHyHCqHjXQBlct2A_T41-1vpNPrYOpgv2Wl74tzt95UW4ZDYPBJMFxy-z1GIqjIuOZI/s400/DSC05570.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
For this compartment, I created a little "art journal" using Spellbinders Labels 7 dies. I created a little book and used a script stamp to stamp on the pages. I cut out the individual words from a sticker phrase.<br />
<br />

Today, I just have a quick card share I created for a challenge on Youtube. The challenge was hosted by <a href="http://www.not2shabbyshop.com/" target="_blank">Not2Shabby</a> shop and required us to create a paper bag card. Having never made one before, I thought I'd participate and give it a go. Not only was so easy to make, but the card turned out great! Let me know what you think.<div>
<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGyBlacFrgwk08IDNrDU9O9yRhTRHOZ6M7FZOby5wMFNqi0RhGUV1aUMYUUul88qWxC6fISkCsSPFduJMp4Vlfc_lUZdBmwfHp0pFSKTGUwA9Xj7SCewMZkMIF9vBMQOcfx5B0g9T-AnI/s1600/DSC05517.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="326" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGyBlacFrgwk08IDNrDU9O9yRhTRHOZ6M7FZOby5wMFNqi0RhGUV1aUMYUUul88qWxC6fISkCsSPFduJMp4Vlfc_lUZdBmwfHp0pFSKTGUwA9Xj7SCewMZkMIF9vBMQOcfx5B0g9T-AnI/s400/DSC05517.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I went for a vintage, tea theme for my card with browns and pinks. I just love this paper collection by DCWV, appropriately called "Garden Tea Party". The paper bag I used is just a standard lunch bag size. I folded it in half and then adhered my papers. The closure for my bag is a bit of lace ribbon I had in my stash.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVufa1EtCAPawpnzJCdY2GxVF371AacIcEKIzbI0MS7jCdDwYRHZ7tmLwyEcSrD4nuWuQxKF44AfMVbZX8y8ETZKiXT3S_L8MZWKuUrCk3KdRiDZ5gLBDDwXASEgTKpHfvPKtPGvNJ3cE/s1600/DSC05518.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="293" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVufa1EtCAPawpnzJCdY2GxVF371AacIcEKIzbI0MS7jCdDwYRHZ7tmLwyEcSrD4nuWuQxKF44AfMVbZX8y8ETZKiXT3S_L8MZWKuUrCk3KdRiDZ5gLBDDwXASEgTKpHfvPKtPGvNJ3cE/s400/DSC05518.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I created all the flowers from coordinating cardstock using Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms Dies. Then I dabbed them with white acrylic paint to make them more shabby. The leaves were fussy cut from the paper collection and I added pips to my flower clusters.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEwsYHiBkA6GpMJWxSjsBJ5n3FIgNsA2r2pCtV4Mo5ESMLJSjX0cDpjeqxMJVbZV9ONZ2Xvmr085TilLs6AoFiuBbX2EjVTAWn3RSL_m_jxeGa_mlYw78tW56OtmSwlPKrhCxA0v8RuiE/s1600/DSC05519.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="331" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEwsYHiBkA6GpMJWxSjsBJ5n3FIgNsA2r2pCtV4Mo5ESMLJSjX0cDpjeqxMJVbZV9ONZ2Xvmr085TilLs6AoFiuBbX2EjVTAWn3RSL_m_jxeGa_mlYw78tW56OtmSwlPKrhCxA0v8RuiE/s400/DSC05519.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the focal point of my card, I used a stamp set by Graphic 45 called Tea party. I stamped the images onto a piece of pattern paper and then fussy cut them out. I then, adhered them to the Spellbinders circles with foam tape for dimension. The cute sentiment is from a Fiskars stamp set called Latte Love.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLHwDBRFf_PfN-MLNtaSf-hGp97_rrkY82U6LR8HxXqRCIBQZKqgbEt8Zp24LZ9-9MIN-o93cpCAQxojunfKcTeYbzDDdGUtRQ9qbPkAMRPfNFxohGKxaQrVbON59R1Lz2ITda2VX7wrU/s1600/DSC05520.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLHwDBRFf_PfN-MLNtaSf-hGp97_rrkY82U6LR8HxXqRCIBQZKqgbEt8Zp24LZ9-9MIN-o93cpCAQxojunfKcTeYbzDDdGUtRQ9qbPkAMRPfNFxohGKxaQrVbON59R1Lz2ITda2VX7wrU/s400/DSC05520.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The inside is also decorated with the pattern paper. I created a pocket on the left hand side that's perfect for adding a gift card. The stacked tea cups and flowers were also fussy cut from the collection and adhered to the bottom right hand side. This still leaves plenty of room for me to write my message to the recipient.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxetuM7QugqaYZymb1bKdvFedway0EEtFW5MSIOY3llnRec07GYgUS9yzFdrRg3s9V_NwcvaOG3b5jSly_zwvuc4XKggEJnZoLMlsq6kBBra7TLimO5l2PJCQyAA4WXlJDpGf-L7sHnJo/s1600/DSC05523.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="341" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxetuM7QugqaYZymb1bKdvFedway0EEtFW5MSIOY3llnRec07GYgUS9yzFdrRg3s9V_NwcvaOG3b5jSly_zwvuc4XKggEJnZoLMlsq6kBBra7TLimO5l2PJCQyAA4WXlJDpGf-L7sHnJo/s400/DSC05523.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the back of the card, also covered with the beautiful papers.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
That's it! I love the way it turned out. The paper collection and the stamps were just perfect for what I had in mind. Hope you like it too!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!</div>

I'm here again, to share another Guest Design Team project for Sacrafters shop. <br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
So here it is! Isn't it adorable? </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The unit was so easy to put together. First,I used a warm white acrylic paint to paint the parts that weren't going to be covered with paper. Then I used Prima's Princess 6x6 paper pad to cover the rest of the unit. All the edges were buffed with a sanding block then inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCpDgoUxCySV2DkUsRxSujBiCaHUsp8iiRomtkXcNWAtZqY_Wf4iYzofkzk1ivcoFxfss2k25lY_qN7bVnT8Yujw7ditoGjlXFb1O1jbiWIgZlSLb9NCkWg2ugcsFcF6ANfCe6dneMcvU/s1600/DSC05484.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="313" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCpDgoUxCySV2DkUsRxSujBiCaHUsp8iiRomtkXcNWAtZqY_Wf4iYzofkzk1ivcoFxfss2k25lY_qN7bVnT8Yujw7ditoGjlXFb1O1jbiWIgZlSLb9NCkWg2ugcsFcF6ANfCe6dneMcvU/s400/DSC05484.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The Gorjuss stamp is called "Hang me up to dry". I colored the sweet image with my Copic markers and paper pieced the dress and cute little socks. I used foam tape to adhere the stamped image onto the hanging piece and then added those cute little cloud die cuts. Both the cloud die and the grass and flowers die are from the Magnolia Doohickey Club Volume 4.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQapu31FMNgIUf95bJGbpcRwWmSUft4R3YkooeFBhPqji9kTdibZmHWm8DNRsLfF1cBsYfXnVnygBU0qYXO7Jw7b7Vjpra8xIyoQ_3KTluhSu_11Uw1eLvwdMzQhO7C_IoEgT_xepY8sw/s1600/DSC05489.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQapu31FMNgIUf95bJGbpcRwWmSUft4R3YkooeFBhPqji9kTdibZmHWm8DNRsLfF1cBsYfXnVnygBU0qYXO7Jw7b7Vjpra8xIyoQ_3KTluhSu_11Uw1eLvwdMzQhO7C_IoEgT_xepY8sw/s400/DSC05489.JPG" width="353" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here, you can see the green ribbon I used to wrap around the unit. I love how it looks like vines. I then added those tiny, pink roses from my stash.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkZJ1CrSv5j0gF7Ra6vThwwGv9wlzuiAjtdxqfN730l7iEhRURvsJCOcBxfj22eoFWbKV5PgxKxgdwGF6JkBElE_LPkxpCtGVsbaomfhe9p6QfLSkRCpUA1DkNQL50r6Cpl4CXCQbTDbA/s1600/DSC05488.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkZJ1CrSv5j0gF7Ra6vThwwGv9wlzuiAjtdxqfN730l7iEhRURvsJCOcBxfj22eoFWbKV5PgxKxgdwGF6JkBElE_LPkxpCtGVsbaomfhe9p6QfLSkRCpUA1DkNQL50r6Cpl4CXCQbTDbA/s400/DSC05488.JPG" width="360" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used two Martha Stewart butterfly stamps to stamp onto scraps of paper using archival ink. Then I fussy cut them out, added pearls to the centers and adhered them randomly to the unit.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjszLWWsKLED4JC3gmZ66jZ3dKxzkJgOd7ISNIg2RVWZe8VORHvddl24GQXmZwJC3MZF3Zg8nsM9v4znTYRqDUalcCzGYmROubIU9On91zqQi-1MaJ5NkJ49pOTf9r9aPae1g2ogX8z6D4/s1600/DSC05492.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="216" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjszLWWsKLED4JC3gmZ66jZ3dKxzkJgOd7ISNIg2RVWZe8VORHvddl24GQXmZwJC3MZF3Zg8nsM9v4znTYRqDUalcCzGYmROubIU9On91zqQi-1MaJ5NkJ49pOTf9r9aPae1g2ogX8z6D4/s400/DSC05492.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I knew it would be very difficult to cover the title with the pattern paper so I used paint instead. First I painted the letters with a warm white acrylic paint.Then I took a a script stamp inked with brown archival ink and randomly stamped onto the letters.Next, I used a sponge dauber and dabbed pink, peach and white acrylic paint on top. Lastly I inked the letters with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I really love the way the title turned out because it matches the papers so well.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgL1mciFTFWelwAt7sfn_t6Apm6jIUhWY6nZO3B-D4Kcfv_Jt1cpElSylh9wTJvEoiqPmqP0ZTxJ2MeOl1mj-82RERyZzKMCMBnI3QDqvb82PGA4o0Qv4Zq45ScNC53bWiJH3rk8txxxm8/s1600/DSC05490.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="355" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgL1mciFTFWelwAt7sfn_t6Apm6jIUhWY6nZO3B-D4Kcfv_Jt1cpElSylh9wTJvEoiqPmqP0ZTxJ2MeOl1mj-82RERyZzKMCMBnI3QDqvb82PGA4o0Qv4Zq45ScNC53bWiJH3rk8txxxm8/s400/DSC05490.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The back of the unit is also covered with paper and here, you can see that cute picket fence I adhered to the posts. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I really do love the way this project turned out. It was so fun and easy and just looks adorable in my daughter's room.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6-_m6jtL1TFAiv24jAt696NJZy0gmHSGd-rHOf2xKnKBTCsxgRho3mxgrwIwdHvlHe7ajvJuXASnV5aVSMe8MYZEKoMvd81bJJnZSK8V7ywTJZb4nKuf_Isl7BWZ0hAVFpLjAZqAPSs4/s1600/DSC05469.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6-_m6jtL1TFAiv24jAt696NJZy0gmHSGd-rHOf2xKnKBTCsxgRho3mxgrwIwdHvlHe7ajvJuXASnV5aVSMe8MYZEKoMvd81bJJnZSK8V7ywTJZb4nKuf_Isl7BWZ0hAVFpLjAZqAPSs4/s400/DSC05469.JPG" width="321" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is Sacrafter's Square Shadowbox Stand. It is made out of MDF wood and is so easy to put together. I covered the wood pieces with Bo Bunny's Little Miss collection. I only had a few pieces left of this collection and I put every scrap to good use.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibWnyJT7y3RuY8mm8PRSdC8B2VAQURLRbPBu47nWe5tyuByM5iSEvgzK0QzaysibyZ2OG_k_EQ_G5CK3_H2lhZ6p4mjQQnfnE8hIYhgf8Q3AunuqPTsNEENSdM8hSLHUhd0_IGHrB8kT0/s1600/DSC05471.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="345" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibWnyJT7y3RuY8mm8PRSdC8B2VAQURLRbPBu47nWe5tyuByM5iSEvgzK0QzaysibyZ2OG_k_EQ_G5CK3_H2lhZ6p4mjQQnfnE8hIYhgf8Q3AunuqPTsNEENSdM8hSLHUhd0_IGHrB8kT0/s400/DSC05471.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I adorned the shadowbox with different fussy cut elements from the paper collection. Then I draped some pearls for an elegant look. Lastly I added flowers in coordinating colors and a beautiful Magnolia Doohickey butterfly to the corner of the box.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

There's a picture of my lovely daughter inside this cute, resin frame. I just look at her picture and can't believe how much she's grown! She's turning into such a beautiful young lady, inside and out.The background paper had a really great quote that I thought fit perfectly with the project. It reads "Don't be so hard on yourself, choose to shine." She's had problems with low self esteem in the past and I've always told her it's a matter of choice. It's our choice to "shine" and be happy or to choose to be down in the dumps.Embrace who you are and be the best at being you! I think she's actually listened,lol!</div>

Today I want to share another project I created for Sacrafter's shop. I'll be guest designing for her store the entire month of May and you can use discount code "LIZFANS" to save 10% off your purchase of $30.If you are not familiar with her store, you definitely want to head on over and check it out. She carries the most amazing and unique wood pieces to alter.All her products are so easy to put together and are made of quality materials.But don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself, <a href="http://www.sacrafters.com/" target="_blank">here</a>.<br />
So today's project is another storage piece for my craft space. I altered her Wood Chest Dresser to store all my needle craft embellishments.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I busted out my Tilda "Happiness is Homemade" paper pad because I thought it was perfect for the theme I was going for.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I really love this page with the Tilda doll so I used it for the front of the drawers and just added the little knobs. All the edges are inked with Vintage Photo.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I had a hard time cutting into this paper pad because the papers are just so beautiful. That's the reason I didn't embellish the sides and just showcased the papers.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The top of the dresser looks so cute with all the needle craft themed embellies.I love the die cuts that come in this collection; cute little button cards,thread cards, flowers etc.I added some embroidery floss and a sewing needle to one of the thread cards to give it a realistic look. The little basket was a find from the thrift store and I created the little yarn balls from some leftover yarn.I made the knitting needles out of toothpicks and adhered a pearl to one end.The wooden spools are from my local craft store and I just wound a bit of lace around them.Then I added flowers, buttons and that cute scissors charm from my stash.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love the way the dresser turned out and the 3 drawers provide enough storage for my embellishments. Plus the piece looks so cute sitting on my cabinet!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hope you enjoyed today's project share. Please come back and visit me soon.</div>

Have a wonderful day!</div>

Today I want to share my take on Tim Holtz's May tag. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to play along in April but I made it a point to make time for this month's tag. Especially when I saw how gorgeous it was! Tim really did an amazing job with this one. I loved everything about it from the burlap, to the vintage photo, to the handmade blooms. It was just stunning!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

May 2015 Tag</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I worked on my tag the day before Mother's Day and as I was going through the Photo Booth photos, I came across one that reminded me so much of my mother, when she was young. I just knew that was the one I was going to use and I decided to play tribute to my mom's love of sewing on my tag.I followed Tim's steps exactly but just improvised with products I had on hand.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWrAHjhGQ8IrEWTOMeB36TsDvLUlZaq6vXB8JbeoI5WmvwTddOPeSWYmxrQs-DjzHHtmUySxLTusSgJRp3p6jRn7pUvjoPobayqNeA7BZMxVyH8ZTykuv1614r7D-ExRKdMesuZa2Rh2I/s1600/DSC05327.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWrAHjhGQ8IrEWTOMeB36TsDvLUlZaq6vXB8JbeoI5WmvwTddOPeSWYmxrQs-DjzHHtmUySxLTusSgJRp3p6jRn7pUvjoPobayqNeA7BZMxVyH8ZTykuv1614r7D-ExRKdMesuZa2Rh2I/s400/DSC05327.JPG" width="382" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here's a closeup of the photo I used. I tinted it with Worn Lipstick, Tumbled Glass and Wild Honey Distress Markers.The ephemera pieces I selected worked really well with the sewing theme I was going for and I even added a little scissors charm to the top of my tag.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsZTbu0GSUge1GqnK7PpTGSAkUvSRWH7GfQQqf56CAWZsQzKADkmsrGve3uqp7sDVL9-D7mQAfw9ejiYBTA_EZ-cGAfdKoMIoWD1XTQ2GdTrRFEQW6cOvyliYe-CxdEjRmKY9NGrPtX4c/s1600/DSC05332.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="378" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsZTbu0GSUge1GqnK7PpTGSAkUvSRWH7GfQQqf56CAWZsQzKADkmsrGve3uqp7sDVL9-D7mQAfw9ejiYBTA_EZ-cGAfdKoMIoWD1XTQ2GdTrRFEQW6cOvyliYe-CxdEjRmKY9NGrPtX4c/s400/DSC05332.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love the way the flowers turned out, so pretty and vintage. I didn't have Tim's Mini Tattered Florals dies so I had to improvise with Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms dies. I die cut them out of Coredinations card stock and dabbed them with Walnut Stain Ink to give them that vintage look.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLiFnTusuTmCTv8ARaz5cTjp0fccWb48VT5LdIaxX1aKDsTQxcr0w_OWH6DK4_BpYr_rIho-3vB5kJAgU_w8_rhhzjH_Hq_v5sfNVSNB6gDGduHd5qLyb5tFmwH5yqYbY6EyCf52B93x4/s1600/DSC05331.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="345" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLiFnTusuTmCTv8ARaz5cTjp0fccWb48VT5LdIaxX1aKDsTQxcr0w_OWH6DK4_BpYr_rIho-3vB5kJAgU_w8_rhhzjH_Hq_v5sfNVSNB6gDGduHd5qLyb5tFmwH5yqYbY6EyCf52B93x4/s400/DSC05331.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The pretty pink bow is made out of crinkled seam binding colored with Worn Lipstick Distress Stain. I just love how vibrant that pink looks. Then I just added the little Small Talk stickers and done!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm so in love with the way it turned out!!! Every time I look at it, it reminds me of my mom, and that just makes my heart happy!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There's still plenty of time left for you to play along. It really was so much fun working on this tag. Bring on the next one!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope your day is a blessed one.</div>

With Mother's Day only a few days away, I thought I'd share with you a sweet gift idea for the special woman in your life. I was inspired by a grocery store run and a childhood memory. Weird, I know.When I was about 9 years old, I remember making a coupon book for my mom, for Mother's Day. Do you guys remember those? Each coupon was good for a small chore or kind gesture for your mom, to show your appreciation.Well, I was remembering all this while pulling out my coupon folio at the grocery store.You know, the kind that has pockets inside to sort your coupons? I combined the two ideas together and created my grown up version of that childhood coupon book to gift my mom this Mother's Day.<br />
<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here it is! Isn't it pretty? I thought Graphic 45's Precious Memories collection would be perfect for my project. I love the sweet mother and baby images and it has lots of blues, which is my mom's favorite color. The folio is constructed of card stock and I found the tutorial <a href="http://blog.piondesign.se/file-folder-folio/" target="_blank">here</a>. It measures 7x9 inches and has 6 pockets inside.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigmmJfY4Tviyb7oCtrVDm5zrn7DGV7dftJW7ffZ8NeVLHbwuBWW-9RJHC3NFZYhCcci2hcrabJoGMa-6f3yEYFvyaxEF1rUDAfuBlSVehZ3TwKK0z3sKFXxcFBJJPFgC7yzqY1qGf4onI/s1600/DSC05312.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="322" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigmmJfY4Tviyb7oCtrVDm5zrn7DGV7dftJW7ffZ8NeVLHbwuBWW-9RJHC3NFZYhCcci2hcrabJoGMa-6f3yEYFvyaxEF1rUDAfuBlSVehZ3TwKK0z3sKFXxcFBJJPFgC7yzqY1qGf4onI/s400/DSC05312.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here's a view of the cover. I did a lot of fussy cutting to create a collage, if you will. You can see bits of lace peeking out in the back and I used one of the post cards from the ephemera pack.I also used one of the chipboard pieces from the collection and accented it with tiny pearls and a sweet little bow.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5E7kRs_NMwMeg-o9-eZ0xkI2OgdXLUy5YTXXQZcGj_DACA16dz05sh6jlVCnOaRIXiYTUaeztP5u0Vz-HdwRDE08a7Geu6KUDlcaQ3pGdxTEAq-xCBXnn_TkZcFHjSc_u9CscS7l2gJk/s1600/DSC05319.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5E7kRs_NMwMeg-o9-eZ0xkI2OgdXLUy5YTXXQZcGj_DACA16dz05sh6jlVCnOaRIXiYTUaeztP5u0Vz-HdwRDE08a7Geu6KUDlcaQ3pGdxTEAq-xCBXnn_TkZcFHjSc_u9CscS7l2gJk/s400/DSC05319.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I created 5 large, tag shaped coupons.Each has a sweet sentiment stamped onto one of the smaller journaling cards. Then I added fussy cut flowers and used the sticker sheet to spell out "coupon" at the bottom of each tag.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpCmkwr8bDX6Df5KW14567qHfmg64KA8FLQG3VS1fDd17OzkRX2mmbsUlLhEiyLLx2DcGVLNOrLd-PyCNMF44ezr6AFx7gjFsxOwW3LBIhEoaGorcFi15bKzdwt9qJJyEaydIWPmeYPCU/s1600/DSC05320.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpCmkwr8bDX6Df5KW14567qHfmg64KA8FLQG3VS1fDd17OzkRX2mmbsUlLhEiyLLx2DcGVLNOrLd-PyCNMF44ezr6AFx7gjFsxOwW3LBIhEoaGorcFi15bKzdwt9qJJyEaydIWPmeYPCU/s400/DSC05320.JPG" width="371" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I printed out the coupons ,cut them out and adhered them to the back of each tag. So all my mom has to do is select a coupon and hand it over to redeem it. Easy, and this guarantees me some quality time with mom! We can take pictures during our times together and she can keep these pictures inside her folio. Precious memories! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I do hope you like my Mother's Day gift idea and to all the mothers out there, I wish you a wonderful Mothers' Day!!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thanks for stopping by today. I'll be seeing you all real soon!</div>

This month I've been asked to be a guest designer for my sweet friend Sa's shop. <a href="http://www.sacrafters.com/" target="_blank">Sacrafters </a>carries tons of OOAK wood and chipboard products to alter, as well as embellishments and stencils.And her prices can't be beat! You can use my discount code "LIZFANS" for an additional 10% off your purchase of $30 or more and it's good for the entire month of May.<br />
Let me share with you my first DT project for the month.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZyozqSxxp7lETu-RUgbq2Ccbn_cJvKuyNsy7Cx7bRDgfGqAjz1Y4ln_3i5FfBWVdrEvJeRQIoLbiYAbTR7qjK-VYZfQB8TEh5w1YAnBIjjdhsbvHphLYxEpjYt1R-n-ghfgR3z8sHWz0/s1600/DSC05302.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="171" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZyozqSxxp7lETu-RUgbq2Ccbn_cJvKuyNsy7Cx7bRDgfGqAjz1Y4ln_3i5FfBWVdrEvJeRQIoLbiYAbTR7qjK-VYZfQB8TEh5w1YAnBIjjdhsbvHphLYxEpjYt1R-n-ghfgR3z8sHWz0/s400/DSC05302.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I altered her <a href="http://www.sacrafters.com/product/wood-heart-mini-album/" target="_blank">Wood Heart Mini Album</a> and turned it into a banner for my wall. I've been stressing out a lot lately and I just wanted a little reminder to appreciate the little things in life, and not worry about things I can't control. Of course, I had to make it shabby chic to go with my decor and I think it turned out quite sweet.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYLYLa68KmmuCEBCwvUZeCZG-86fHgO7VGzXBV6ndrchEzSczUEKcm1yHrmoTcaGIwWjCLPLT7QgdTDlminbmgsbeWenLs2f7tZdMS-sBVjWUKqzoBbfO9-x5WM4V_25y3xtlVnCRCSNc/s1600/DSC05303.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYLYLa68KmmuCEBCwvUZeCZG-86fHgO7VGzXBV6ndrchEzSczUEKcm1yHrmoTcaGIwWjCLPLT7QgdTDlminbmgsbeWenLs2f7tZdMS-sBVjWUKqzoBbfO9-x5WM4V_25y3xtlVnCRCSNc/s320/DSC05303.JPG" width="310" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You get 10 raw wood pieces, 5 solid pieces and 5 cutout pieces to lay over the base. I didn't paint mine but simply covered them with designer paper and inked the edges with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. I printed out the words onto pattern paper and then adhered each word to the heart base, making sure I centered it with the opening of the heart shape.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6s3i-wKr1G2-auN_UlGyUTRICJoPcnI2OYQIWjmr6B4VBTPxWtDvVJZ_TyGDe71JSYaOn0Sn0wP1ACrg9DX_ddIAP7PyFCYZHWA_B6amW726HRb3jE_B-jcFF4xvunO-m_qHJ8PaTSbM/s1600/DSC05304.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="262" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6s3i-wKr1G2-auN_UlGyUTRICJoPcnI2OYQIWjmr6B4VBTPxWtDvVJZ_TyGDe71JSYaOn0Sn0wP1ACrg9DX_ddIAP7PyFCYZHWA_B6amW726HRb3jE_B-jcFF4xvunO-m_qHJ8PaTSbM/s400/DSC05304.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The small flowers are all from my stash and I dabbed white acrylic paint to the tops. I created the music sheet flowers with my Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms Die and then sprinkled the flowers with Glamour Dust.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKo6OSblafeWd-RRNoYTdnbsObuawotdy_uPpaFp5ZAO7ePQ5aQyT8cVBgZGIDNo8QtiMdBbx1ew1zQh7CgzTwE8qRLVrfVm6o2v-GDzJZq9pnDNt6BmxFubgL_ihGqPSsgy9z_34WVik/s1600/DSC05305.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="397" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKo6OSblafeWd-RRNoYTdnbsObuawotdy_uPpaFp5ZAO7ePQ5aQyT8cVBgZGIDNo8QtiMdBbx1ew1zQh7CgzTwE8qRLVrfVm6o2v-GDzJZq9pnDNt6BmxFubgL_ihGqPSsgy9z_34WVik/s400/DSC05305.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I really like how each piece has a different "window" shape, so I accented each opening with mini flat back pearls. The pearls add such a pretty little detail.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIwh9pBVZpzKvadiL6X0XGmsY8H9DYXt9YceIyEdewaFO32F1z1UgtAhyq5bKUUE07_jrfldowoX00YuCYIzupWxdtAQBjulIOURJ0OhQf3tCzHfRUgVVGQXH83UcRW3Sc2t3mBvZP4dw/s1600/DSC05306.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="315" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIwh9pBVZpzKvadiL6X0XGmsY8H9DYXt9YceIyEdewaFO32F1z1UgtAhyq5bKUUE07_jrfldowoX00YuCYIzupWxdtAQBjulIOURJ0OhQf3tCzHfRUgVVGQXH83UcRW3Sc2t3mBvZP4dw/s400/DSC05306.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8PrB2rMo1a6BsCJrPKxoHXotNseDidBIyqIAQ1lYHEBNnkahYu5hg5vebCBo-ZYp-wRs3BuEG9JRiw1RoclUfIudzfWbD7nLV7BdKMS2wViNTPMdCD-GA8WzD4ka9v29eZMnxl6sq5w8/s1600/DSC05307.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="393" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8PrB2rMo1a6BsCJrPKxoHXotNseDidBIyqIAQ1lYHEBNnkahYu5hg5vebCBo-ZYp-wRs3BuEG9JRiw1RoclUfIudzfWbD7nLV7BdKMS2wViNTPMdCD-GA8WzD4ka9v29eZMnxl6sq5w8/s400/DSC05307.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Lastly I threaded a piece of jute through each of the holes and tied pretty pink bows in between each wooden heart piece.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My heart banner looks so pretty on my wall and best of all it reminds me to "Live, Love, Laugh every day". And at the end of the day that is all that really matters!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I hope you like my project. Head on over to Sacrafters shop and check out all her alterable products and don't forget to use my discount code "LIZFANS" to save even more.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I'll see you all real soon.</div>

Man, this week has just flown by, can't believe it's Wednesday already. Today I want to share a recent project for Craft Source using Marion Smith's Junque Gypsy collection. I was inspired to create a memory folio by a very talented lady on Youtube named Kona Raven. I follow her channel and was so impressed by the gorgeous folios she creates, that I just had to give it a try. She was even so generous to provide an awesome tutorial that I will share at the bottom of this post.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyAf0i2cOGsjiFuwmvXP1ypHdtlW9192j8nt5LQeVVNFOM0gN-24QVgNvqJ31UyP-Kl9hFV3slqPz-FPcADCB73WTGWP-uyDNhWM0O3QGoFk2jJUbmZJEPz2SpC7nDkIUlB5g6Nz4ZXEs/s1600/DSC05293.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyAf0i2cOGsjiFuwmvXP1ypHdtlW9192j8nt5LQeVVNFOM0gN-24QVgNvqJ31UyP-Kl9hFV3slqPz-FPcADCB73WTGWP-uyDNhWM0O3QGoFk2jJUbmZJEPz2SpC7nDkIUlB5g6Nz4ZXEs/s1600/DSC05293.JPG" height="400" width="393" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Junque Gypsy Memory Folio</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Isn't it gorgeous? The entire thing is constructed of black card stock and tons of Scor Tape. The paper on the cover was my favorite sheet from the collection.I just loved the colors and the beautiful roses.All the edges are inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and I added 2 fussy cut butterflies from the collection to the cover, as well as a metal frame from Prima. The closure is crinkled seam binding colored with Prima's Color Bloom Spray in Cotton Candy.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is what it looks like on the inside when you first open it up.There are lots of pockets for tags and 2 mini books being held by a belly band on the right hand side.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgubsLIzFXeMJGTV7Dwpr_2ZrOxBhqFW42BVNpc-WnGWtiw9UwNQlbWB7RZPBz_E0TCNlVa80ubi2PL6mgPJeqJX0JGQRbmJHad7AXXhqL3P3SmX9BfYIsuCQ1uUQlN-x-x85RgBtpEhDo/s1600/DSC05296.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgubsLIzFXeMJGTV7Dwpr_2ZrOxBhqFW42BVNpc-WnGWtiw9UwNQlbWB7RZPBz_E0TCNlVa80ubi2PL6mgPJeqJX0JGQRbmJHad7AXXhqL3P3SmX9BfYIsuCQ1uUQlN-x-x85RgBtpEhDo/s1600/DSC05296.JPG" height="363" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It opens up to reveal even more pockets and photo mats and a really cool water fall feature.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
I really love the way this folio turned out and I encourage you to check out my video to really see all the details. I didn't want to make this post so photo heavy so I only focused on certain parts of the folio.To truly appreciate it, you have to see the whole thing. You can check out my video <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bM5jPQiaOwk" target="_blank">here</a>.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Springtime in Paris</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I started off with a 12x12 canvas and primed it with a light coat of gesso. Then I adhered two large pieces of music sheet to the top right and bottom left corners. I spread my homemade texture paste all over the canvas, heavy in some areas and lighter in others.Love this stuff because it creates such great texture and small cracks</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtJgk8qz5Lw5otzl8xJGQHNoFoyjH4v3QUwiS8m8_WVh0SQApjD658hH7G3kIq_PZ2zEj5tjlL0IWX2CYvVhRsiVxnUHFCwC41QbW9lowi9F3m0uvTQxvq_I4CBejhKeHVC_Q86uRjGG8/s1600/DSC05248.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtJgk8qz5Lw5otzl8xJGQHNoFoyjH4v3QUwiS8m8_WVh0SQApjD658hH7G3kIq_PZ2zEj5tjlL0IWX2CYvVhRsiVxnUHFCwC41QbW9lowi9F3m0uvTQxvq_I4CBejhKeHVC_Q86uRjGG8/s1600/DSC05248.JPG" height="291" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used a damask stencil and Faber Castell Whipped Spackle to create even more texture. Then I used Lindy's Stamp Gang Flat Fabio sprays in T- Bird Turquoise and Ocean Breeze Blue and sprayed it all over the canvas. Because the Flat Fabios don't have any shimmer, I mixed up some Finnabair Mica Powder in Teal with a bit of water inside a spray bottle. I sprayed this mixture onto the canvas and even created drips along the flower clusters for a shadow effect. Next, I went over the top of the damask texture with Faber Castell's Texture Gems in gold. I just dabbed it over the tops with my finger to add a gold shimmer. You can also see some of the stamping I did with Fiannabair's Messy script stamp and the spattering of paint I created.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwJvm2M2P_1AdxmoefJyMmg_TUYGGoQpnuOUmfmmpc6fyFSqi_cIY5z4aeb1Fy7G5TtqcLKDVpZXSkvlloT_v_ev0LkZSncyZ1qbzcdhxTC3laoPUlvZvWjGAsL0e8QrVujyWTQQiWbFA/s1600/DSC05233.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwJvm2M2P_1AdxmoefJyMmg_TUYGGoQpnuOUmfmmpc6fyFSqi_cIY5z4aeb1Fy7G5TtqcLKDVpZXSkvlloT_v_ev0LkZSncyZ1qbzcdhxTC3laoPUlvZvWjGAsL0e8QrVujyWTQQiWbFA/s1600/DSC05233.JPG" height="336" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The theme of the canvas is Springtime in Paris, so I made sure to include tons of flowers on my project. The tree branches are cut from chipboard using Tim Holtz's Bird Branch die. I cut off the bird and glued 3 pieces together. Then I painted them a dark brown color and painted a coat of white acrylic paint on top of that. I distressed the branches with a sanding block to reveal some of the brown underneath. The tiny leaves are from an old punch and the small pink flowers are by Prima. I love the way the flower clusters turned out. You can see bits of cheesecloth and lace peeking out and the gold berries really pop!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMC25ORxYDNz4Qd6f89FQqXX3nKONdLYlEapmxWB2u4M0FOJ6IEwwK1_bNjOp-yswC_CBWIdE4Mote2G8zSU3qmY8XL9ZF4t80tgFuNIisT__QgnuK_9vgL0ohvQW7ecn-hCUI2textvY/s1600/DSC05243.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMC25ORxYDNz4Qd6f89FQqXX3nKONdLYlEapmxWB2u4M0FOJ6IEwwK1_bNjOp-yswC_CBWIdE4Mote2G8zSU3qmY8XL9ZF4t80tgFuNIisT__QgnuK_9vgL0ohvQW7ecn-hCUI2textvY/s1600/DSC05243.JPG" height="310" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The Eiffel Tower image is from the internet. I printed it out and framed it with a small frame from my local craft store. I dabbed the once green frame, with white acrylic paint and more of the gold Texture Gems using my fingers. The little resin birds are Prima Shabby Chic treasures also dabbed with Texture Gems, this time in platinum. I love the sheen, the Texture Gems create.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbQ12Wr0_Po4hrxc0pOAAGcEn4xnGCQvQr3AQOprXl0wz_4zzCsFKh4_hcO7OWs0t-Rn8iRF6XxHiweqjA4jkXw_6FjlNscwgwSK1z-9bCVR4h4DxtKWAQy3nBJn05JuJ18b2yGTcES3Y/s1600/DSC05240.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbQ12Wr0_Po4hrxc0pOAAGcEn4xnGCQvQr3AQOprXl0wz_4zzCsFKh4_hcO7OWs0t-Rn8iRF6XxHiweqjA4jkXw_6FjlNscwgwSK1z-9bCVR4h4DxtKWAQy3nBJn05JuJ18b2yGTcES3Y/s1600/DSC05240.JPG" height="241" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Where there are flowers, there are butterflies. I stamped some butterflies on vellum and heat embossed them with gold embossing powder. Then I just cut them out and placed them throughout my canvas.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I spelled out "Paris" with some alpha stickers dabbed with acrylic paint. Then I added Finnabair's Art Ingredients Glass Bleads in Crystal to the bottom left corner. There is some on the top corner too, but it gets covered by the flowers.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

I just realized I haven't posted anything in over a month. I've taken on some new responsibilities and have been sooo busy!<br />
Today I want to share a design team project that I created for <a href="http://www.not2shabbyshop.com/" target="_blank">Not2Shabby</a>. This is actually my last month designing for Jamie's shop and I'm sure going to miss it. Jamie sent me an adorable set of stamps this month, including La La Land Crafts <a href="http://www.not2shabbyshop.com/Sassy-Princess-w-Sentiments-Rubber-Stamp-p/sassy-princess-la-la-land.htm" target="_blank">Sassy Princess Marci</a>. As soon as I saw her I knew I had to do something involving a castle.. While perusing the aisles at my local craft store, I came across a castle birdhouse made out of wood and thought it perfect for my project.Check it out.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDosfAOUffU5-NUWvIoC7abS4EYZaycZ1z_psGi0oojbYtCLZosfwqQQYrKUFSF1AJpoE1M7EJxTIbbkO4tjIxqp4S81TNtXR3kJxFpnHEy_2nShqhCAfS3uKy-SN5lah7wxLoAYdFYLo/s1600/DSC05251.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDosfAOUffU5-NUWvIoC7abS4EYZaycZ1z_psGi0oojbYtCLZosfwqQQYrKUFSF1AJpoE1M7EJxTIbbkO4tjIxqp4S81TNtXR3kJxFpnHEy_2nShqhCAfS3uKy-SN5lah7wxLoAYdFYLo/s1600/DSC05251.JPG" height="400" width="321" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Sassy Princess Marci in her castle.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I painted the wooden birdhouse with Vanilla acrylic paint and Light Pink paint by Craftsmart. Then I used a stamp that resembled stone texture and Pumice Stone Distress Ink to stamp all around the walls of the castle.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuNG7zbczrPF7DTEM-GjGOzSBpYfI2gEW1lWlTt6jFFTSYHVRqL5uy6b7UjaDafzy1enM10YqnJr7F5tEKDurVZxwMvk6fKwHdoO_NjGZ-D1lpirr2PWIxNroinetps7H2yRpvQUmjFYg/s1600/DSC05256.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuNG7zbczrPF7DTEM-GjGOzSBpYfI2gEW1lWlTt6jFFTSYHVRqL5uy6b7UjaDafzy1enM10YqnJr7F5tEKDurVZxwMvk6fKwHdoO_NjGZ-D1lpirr2PWIxNroinetps7H2yRpvQUmjFYg/s1600/DSC05256.JPG" height="400" width="358" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It's very subtle, but you can see a little of the stone look, the stamp created.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhedUqBrA9g01HRrJ156lyuc7gmP0t7ynbAOCAzfyHz4_Erl51OPzMa9urvr1-hblqLxGkSNSzxihH9YGeGc3j45UV9uFnmdc1aHDMyJN6bewFOoyZDyMrq0pc3eDxHmfqcwdVeEQrJbho/s1600/DSC05253.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhedUqBrA9g01HRrJ156lyuc7gmP0t7ynbAOCAzfyHz4_Erl51OPzMa9urvr1-hblqLxGkSNSzxihH9YGeGc3j45UV9uFnmdc1aHDMyJN6bewFOoyZDyMrq0pc3eDxHmfqcwdVeEQrJbho/s1600/DSC05253.JPG" height="400" width="356" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I colored Marci's skin and hair using my Copic Markers and used gold Stickles on her crown.Her outfit was paper pieced using scraps from an old collection by Melissa Frances.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_ld0XOu2qNGLoscy-xziUujGN8a7BPXS3KJoIu8jfTf4TU2HdAmnhWB6bDj_iQ1O3m9eNL-SsLIo2yDQaDQIDXEPLkehmzv5TWFB6nc4BE1QIdVVc5yWGn01yZeBpKHeBShULujLUspo/s1600/DSC05261.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_ld0XOu2qNGLoscy-xziUujGN8a7BPXS3KJoIu8jfTf4TU2HdAmnhWB6bDj_iQ1O3m9eNL-SsLIo2yDQaDQIDXEPLkehmzv5TWFB6nc4BE1QIdVVc5yWGn01yZeBpKHeBShULujLUspo/s1600/DSC05261.JPG" height="400" width="356" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The flowers and vines along the castle walls were die cut using Magnolia Doohickey dies and cardstock. I really love the look of the vines against the castle walls.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPWwkoxpAD1VIYH4HknEgtBcXLH2wNl9TtuJ84It84PaZbOsX8UOb50S9tWEffaDD6gK_fFh6gLhqqTerRXu-U4BanzDzyF9BQRzesBcQMotjmP0tXy42NyHfkWgZv1QgYcaG6bZT09DE/s1600/DSC05255.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPWwkoxpAD1VIYH4HknEgtBcXLH2wNl9TtuJ84It84PaZbOsX8UOb50S9tWEffaDD6gK_fFh6gLhqqTerRXu-U4BanzDzyF9BQRzesBcQMotjmP0tXy42NyHfkWgZv1QgYcaG6bZT09DE/s1600/DSC05255.JPG" height="400" width="321" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I made a little flag for the top of the castle using my Spellbinders Banners die set and a bamboo skewer. Sassy Princess Marci comes with 3 sentiments and I chose the "once upon a time" sentiment to stamp onto the flag.I also created a mini flower bed out of a matchbox and some more Doohickey dies. Isn't it cute?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgY31PX-J-MlDEtz0-3ZcxIJJv_857L4PNFVAxw1tmFSRZOH2q00xDXkTcSjM75JR5GAkJ_bng0K3cls8LnbOiSkE0-Vb0MeQNOdSxNCKLTg3pVhT-eylAXv8GUaXXdgZOpdM-n2FAot_M/s1600/DSC05258.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgY31PX-J-MlDEtz0-3ZcxIJJv_857L4PNFVAxw1tmFSRZOH2q00xDXkTcSjM75JR5GAkJ_bng0K3cls8LnbOiSkE0-Vb0MeQNOdSxNCKLTg3pVhT-eylAXv8GUaXXdgZOpdM-n2FAot_M/s1600/DSC05258.JPG" height="320" width="272" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here's another full view from the side.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I think this piece would look so cute in a little girl's room or make for a cute centerpiece for a Princess theme party. Too bad my little one has outgrown her princess phase.</div>

Today I want to share with you a great idea on how to turn you embellishment packaging into pretty tags. Whenever I open a new package, I'm always looking for ways to re-purpose the packaging. Whether it be cardboard, plastic, netting, etc. The backing material on some of the embellishments, come in great shapes and can make for awesome tags. I've created a beautiful Magnolia tag out of Prima packaging as my design team project for Not2Shabby.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGtiOErqEc5BJGv1NuuXWNtwnTTsp9DLdAITFTrotPU0TsVVzywfO29ViUOPPAeA-GmFEHOvgT-V4Dkah8DxciZx7pChRYfCQBDmqbyBhygrgIOjPjgriwB2CVsnESn8KzvFsZAkH91mI/s1600/DSC05179.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGtiOErqEc5BJGv1NuuXWNtwnTTsp9DLdAITFTrotPU0TsVVzywfO29ViUOPPAeA-GmFEHOvgT-V4Dkah8DxciZx7pChRYfCQBDmqbyBhygrgIOjPjgriwB2CVsnESn8KzvFsZAkH91mI/s1600/DSC05179.JPG" height="306" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Turning your packaging into a pretty tag is quite easy. I always look for packaging that has a neat design or details, such as eyelets, as my base. Then you simply trace the packaging onto designer paper of your choice. Cut it out and adhere to both sides of your packaging material with your favorite adhesive.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgo7YV4Hs-ebP2M4W5JP-uBJtOs7vF6woAH6vg7qwvBrM_d5Nh0hZqR8GxwbYeXdh-giFZNNpDjGqxhIgeVk46XYPIw0u5bNQyM3Q74ZD7DaXCnDAbjKESYl6JmOq5cvU9dnG39RRsBfmg/s1600/DSC05170.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgo7YV4Hs-ebP2M4W5JP-uBJtOs7vF6woAH6vg7qwvBrM_d5Nh0hZqR8GxwbYeXdh-giFZNNpDjGqxhIgeVk46XYPIw0u5bNQyM3Q74ZD7DaXCnDAbjKESYl6JmOq5cvU9dnG39RRsBfmg/s1600/DSC05170.JPG" height="400" width="351" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So here's the pretty tag I created using the sweet Magnolia image. It's called Tilda with Hanging Rabbit and you can purchase it<a href="http://www.not2shabbyshop.com/" target="_blank"> here</a>. I've used Colorbok's Victorian Parlour collection to cover the tag and inked all the edges with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. I also busted out my Doohickey dies and some pretty laces I had in my stash.<br />

<br />
I colored the image with my Copic markers and I paper pieced her dress and boots. I also added Frantage in Shabby White around the image for more detail. It's my first time using it and I love the way it looks!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNhnxGQQBGTb3dfWe9HvD_PThlihlMTAJGWXKZgdH-yZm3KlYHGIEYTsfrKf0IbAq0BaFGmGa_MELcM7Q8ZGLjEWQjGigBBMkJQ6P8tW_FoMcwReZ-itM2Y_QJbs8f7ZB-IZbLB6eq1Ao/s1600/DSC05177.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNhnxGQQBGTb3dfWe9HvD_PThlihlMTAJGWXKZgdH-yZm3KlYHGIEYTsfrKf0IbAq0BaFGmGa_MELcM7Q8ZGLjEWQjGigBBMkJQ6P8tW_FoMcwReZ-itM2Y_QJbs8f7ZB-IZbLB6eq1Ao/s1600/DSC05177.JPG" height="367" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The flower cluster turned out so pretty. I just used flowers from my stash and these cute little pips I picked up at my local craft store. The leaves are from the Doohickey Club Dies Volume 4 and I stamped on them and inked them with Brushed Corduroy. The wood banner has been in my stash for ages and I thought it would make for a perfect sentiment on my tag.<br />
<br />
I hope I've inspired you to look at your "trash" in a whole new way. I think I'll be making a few more of these tags!<br />
Head on over to <a href="http://www.not2shabbyshop.com/" target="_blank">Not2Shabby</a> and take advantage of Jamie's flash sale going on now until Sunday March 22. Welcome back to my blog.Today I want to share a design team project for Not2Shabby.<br />
Jamie was kind enough to send me some really cute stamps to work with this month and I received another Tilda! Would you believe it is only my second Magnolia stamp ever, lol. Between the cute stamps and the Dookickey dies, I'm officially hooked on Magnolia!<br />
Since I'm all fired up for Spring, I created another Spring themed project.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7v4CsYyD_HeYvA4EVj5cyHBWbUvdh_dQXFaF5qsPOxL4O3fPLk5ks43IMT-7DPYhlCi15f-1aCFZrKInWh-yHw10lhwxzjnpuKh1eYdU53fay7DbrNpQmko1FMC078POPc-CEdmgLoEM/s1600/DSC05140.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7v4CsYyD_HeYvA4EVj5cyHBWbUvdh_dQXFaF5qsPOxL4O3fPLk5ks43IMT-7DPYhlCi15f-1aCFZrKInWh-yHw10lhwxzjnpuKh1eYdU53fay7DbrNpQmko1FMC078POPc-CEdmgLoEM/s1600/DSC05140.JPG" height="400" width="386" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I had picked up these cute wood gift bags at my local craft store and thought it would be cute to alter them as little favor boxes. I painted the inside of the boxes and covered the outside with Prima's Songbird collection. It's an older collection but oh so pretty and I just love the soft colors.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The sweet Magnolia stamp is Tilda with Hanging Rabbit and it was stamped onto watercolor paper and colored with watercolors for a soft look. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVcdN7nr0P7AodGTCwCUcgyrI35zNs4PGAhbYMnpssoiQQrYLmqh9qW_BFannmZtcAtyQFGvRjyho3PbeM99huC0BbBzLdVmDLhiNbCTG4095IdmVVt8EwsATwPjmTllrF805T_G1mIE4/s1600/DSC05141.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVcdN7nr0P7AodGTCwCUcgyrI35zNs4PGAhbYMnpssoiQQrYLmqh9qW_BFannmZtcAtyQFGvRjyho3PbeM99huC0BbBzLdVmDLhiNbCTG4095IdmVVt8EwsATwPjmTllrF805T_G1mIE4/s1600/DSC05141.JPG" height="400" width="283" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used a lot of my Doohickey dies to create an outdoor Spring scene. The butterflies are from a MS punch and all the edges are inked with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I inked all the die cut pieces too,to make them pop against the soft background. Then I added little pearls to the flower centers and on the hanging sign.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On the back, I created a little envelope to hold a small card for the recipient. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdsl3wcSKYegtOsNjTOwX6LYoB2Isp-M6yeLMf5JxnCmeoVGk1u6tvxrYq-CDsLZY8hIBiHxF-YcEBPbeGuCVXsClS9043Ksvc2CD_i0JRnrmVUi05lRkKm96ALns9Qy57oOCxU_qP0r4/s1600/DSC05149.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdsl3wcSKYegtOsNjTOwX6LYoB2Isp-M6yeLMf5JxnCmeoVGk1u6tvxrYq-CDsLZY8hIBiHxF-YcEBPbeGuCVXsClS9043Ksvc2CD_i0JRnrmVUi05lRkKm96ALns9Qy57oOCxU_qP0r4/s1600/DSC05149.JPG" height="400" width="367" /></a></div>

This is the second one I made. It's very similar to the first one so I'll just post some pictures.</div>

The sun is out!!! Sorry, I just couldn't contain my joy, lol. After not having seen the sun in so long, I can't help but be happy! So in honor of the beautiful sun and the warm weather to come, I created a Spring inspired tag as my take on Tim' March tag.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7HwAcdVBpBAbUQSnAruipTbz8ypu8g5A-2WUH_T6HXCkocKYu4wdxIkIOqngg31gA4BN9LQmYmtul88I7OS0yS0nYxK1tGMOMvINY6zHJjnibc74UZns49Xjd3t8RoBZbVBf3bb_bDbg/s1600/DSC05157.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7HwAcdVBpBAbUQSnAruipTbz8ypu8g5A-2WUH_T6HXCkocKYu4wdxIkIOqngg31gA4BN9LQmYmtul88I7OS0yS0nYxK1tGMOMvINY6zHJjnibc74UZns49Xjd3t8RoBZbVBf3bb_bDbg/s1600/DSC05157.JPG" height="400" width="292" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I followed Tim's techniques to create the background on the tag, but just switched up the colors. You can check out Tim's tag <span id="goog_1007885157"></span><a href="http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2015-march/" target="_blank">here</a><span id="goog_1007885158"></span>.Since I wanted to go for a shabby look, I used Distress paint in Broken China, Antique Linen, Victorian Velvet, Bundled Sage, and Brushed Corduroy.The effect was so pretty and I think it's just perfect for Spring. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgL9Z6RDksgkrFTlYNMDtTBh_LBooBEJhHvs-1AftK8gzDaydaUefHx27gOEpH2mt3inNIyEeAXcYq990OQhNMouAEXHZ1eSkcqYH_sShots83_J8qfzMyfx4gX4tW5-SjNuV-LACyd4LE/s1600/DSC05160.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgL9Z6RDksgkrFTlYNMDtTBh_LBooBEJhHvs-1AftK8gzDaydaUefHx27gOEpH2mt3inNIyEeAXcYq990OQhNMouAEXHZ1eSkcqYH_sShots83_J8qfzMyfx4gX4tW5-SjNuV-LACyd4LE/s1600/DSC05160.JPG" height="400" width="343" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used my homemade texture paste and gold embossing powder to create the really cool enamel look. The butterfly stamps are from my stash and I stamped them with Archival Ink and covered them with clear embossing powder. The crinkled seam binding bow was dyed with Victorian Velvet. It's such a beautiful color!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV0n_sRen7sYl-BCIDeYLEQgxWQf5S9eKJdXDhvhFSsPM-pX1JtXd99Sb_lYbI3GatFfy_TWtP7qJWur5BYh5VRMhGtL6rPqp33vcJJSffcYDzuCg52qnC33LY4yJt61t9DeYEDYbIWSE/s1600/DSC05159.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV0n_sRen7sYl-BCIDeYLEQgxWQf5S9eKJdXDhvhFSsPM-pX1JtXd99Sb_lYbI3GatFfy_TWtP7qJWur5BYh5VRMhGtL6rPqp33vcJJSffcYDzuCg52qnC33LY4yJt61t9DeYEDYbIWSE/s1600/DSC05159.JPG" height="400" width="336" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I added a word band with some jute rope at the bottom of the tag. Then I embellished the tag with Tim's Metal Foliage. I dabbed the metal pieces with Distress Paint to give them a more shabby look too.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Overall, I think it turned out very pretty and it was so much fun to create. You still have plenty of time to play along, so head on over to Tim's blog and check out his awesome tutorial.<br />
<br />
Hope you like my tag and thanks so much for stopping by!</div>

I hope your day is a bright and sunny one, because mine doesn't look like it's going to be. We had a severe thunderstorm all night, here in Spring. The thunder was making the entire house shake and the rain would not let up. So needless, to say, it's wet and gloomy out there.But days like this do have their upside because it means I can stay in and have more crafty time! Today I'm sharing a bright and cheerful card I created for Not2Shabby.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhP-4POCus8IhyoP9Qx3MOkKFHdrg3XAv1wVqijC9bx-3E032JjaVkNFm_HPV5L3JxzJy-ag6GxumQ7HK7g_C4ufE_RKuBh3y1KKXoNYaKmX-t4uRZ6YlS-6QiTjTpxGE7eusrqmHaeGb0/s1600/DSC05099.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhP-4POCus8IhyoP9Qx3MOkKFHdrg3XAv1wVqijC9bx-3E032JjaVkNFm_HPV5L3JxzJy-ag6GxumQ7HK7g_C4ufE_RKuBh3y1KKXoNYaKmX-t4uRZ6YlS-6QiTjTpxGE7eusrqmHaeGb0/s1600/DSC05099.JPG" height="343" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is my attempt at a layered card similar to the ones I've seen on Pinterest. The image stamp is by Whimsy Stamps called Walkies. I colored her hair, skin and the little pup with my Copic markers and then, I paper pieced her outfit. I hadn't colored black hair in a long time, that I almost forgot how to do it,lol. It took me 3 tries until I was happy with the results.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghoOtfL0MzwEj5YmTt9YAx6V2uERD2mclMFm04rbAFCE-G6iYU92rHyFqDwwnMuB3MNZEevLw3fIq90jlecM4QCUp7YmsacUr-9MP6f9AlZmuE5k-N-TuAW1Yej96S3dhqedtxIBxwwAg/s1600/DSC05104.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghoOtfL0MzwEj5YmTt9YAx6V2uERD2mclMFm04rbAFCE-G6iYU92rHyFqDwwnMuB3MNZEevLw3fIq90jlecM4QCUp7YmsacUr-9MP6f9AlZmuE5k-N-TuAW1Yej96S3dhqedtxIBxwwAg/s1600/DSC05104.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The designer paper I used is Authentique's Classique Pretty collection. I love the color combo of pink, black and white. Very Parisian don't you think?</div>

Today I want to share another Guest Design Team project for Sacrafters. She was kind enough to send me her <a href="http://www.sacrafters.com/product/wood-4-drawers/" target="_blank">4-drawer storage</a> unit and I thought it would be great to alter it for my craft area. I'm always in need of more storage, and this was the perfect piece to alter with the Graphic 45 Botanical Tea collection. I've been hoarding this paper pad ever since I got it,lol.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love the way the storage unit turned out and the papers are just gorgeous! With all the roses and birds, it just makes me long for Spring. The Wood Flourishes and metal pulls by Kaisercraft add just enough detail to the drawer fronts.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I found a metal candle holder at my second hand store and I created a little nest inside. The candle holder resembles a little tea cup so it went perfectly with the theme of the papers.I fussy cut some elements from the paper pad, added some flowers and branches to create a botanical scene on top of the unit.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the sides, I simply added doily die cuts from the Cheery Lynn French Pastry die and layered fussy cut elements. The metal corner pieces are by Momenta and are the perfect antique gold.</div>

Today was the first time I've seen the sun in what seems like forever. It's been so dark and gloomy, here in Spring, Texas.. Now I know I shouldn't complain when some of you are dealing with 6 feet of snow and blizzards, but I'm just so ready for warmer weather. Aren't you? So in my attempts to get myself ready for spring , I created a garden themed card-in-a box. This is only the second time I've made one of these cards and I have to say they are so much fun. Not to mention adorable!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidxCE1hltvELNm0ox08nki-6J7pMXsJN8WYymXjETjGFFnNq5KS4qNctuKS714h0d0KajySUbKi3WapPM45eQWeLlyilXTWUL5kDnGLD6hotq_VGhcw1kZofdJOr6Q8Wk8ZkLyH8cWLww/s1600/DSC04893.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidxCE1hltvELNm0ox08nki-6J7pMXsJN8WYymXjETjGFFnNq5KS4qNctuKS714h0d0KajySUbKi3WapPM45eQWeLlyilXTWUL5kDnGLD6hotq_VGhcw1kZofdJOr6Q8Wk8ZkLyH8cWLww/s1600/DSC04893.JPG" height="400" width="365" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The card is a Design Team project for <a href="http://www.not2shabbyshop.com/" target="_blank">Not2Shabby</a>. I used an older paper collection by DCWV called The Preppy Princess Stack. I just love the soft colors and the images, perfect for fussy cutting.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRQwDQVPY5MsGJr3I2L5s3UBQSgdSrNlu2JfVjtaW5gxjlvIwoIippTDJbtUPJ6rSfRwfnl3hokE6sQEI7cuqenlSC36_3k0qOKCmq3FaXoZfIi7LjMjVvhNNKDHUG8gQdC3AgHaAWviI/s1600/DSC04894.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRQwDQVPY5MsGJr3I2L5s3UBQSgdSrNlu2JfVjtaW5gxjlvIwoIippTDJbtUPJ6rSfRwfnl3hokE6sQEI7cuqenlSC36_3k0qOKCmq3FaXoZfIi7LjMjVvhNNKDHUG8gQdC3AgHaAWviI/s1600/DSC04894.JPG" height="351" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The sweet image stamp is by <a href="http://www.not2shabbyshop.com/C-C-Designs-Swiss-Pixie-Rose-Rubber-Stamp-p/-swiss-pixie-rose.htm" target="_blank">C.C. Designs, called Rose</a>. I've used her before on another card and I think she is just precious. I stamped the image onto watercolor paper and then colored her skin and hair with watercolors. I paper pieced her outfit using scraps from the paper pad.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIFhJJ0D7oXNA6z9q2NvRp0oUQ5SZcFNCt8xTj2dxMYoMZv2MiSPsGVc9jJbdnsuyyOQWxYsuLnQiFSxHotdKxqINBX3o1cfuByYVKp0pNc4JzlXqjLLBDKj11_G9oh2R3HnJ5qirRh0s/s1600/DSC04906.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIFhJJ0D7oXNA6z9q2NvRp0oUQ5SZcFNCt8xTj2dxMYoMZv2MiSPsGVc9jJbdnsuyyOQWxYsuLnQiFSxHotdKxqINBX3o1cfuByYVKp0pNc4JzlXqjLLBDKj11_G9oh2R3HnJ5qirRh0s/s1600/DSC04906.JPG" height="400" width="370" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used 4 strips inside my card to get a fuller look for the garden. I love how it looks like she's standing in the middle of all the flowers. I die cut the little fence from a Magnolia Doohickey die and the cute little clouds are felt stickers from my stash.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitca8W-XMxpFtiQCpBL7KH1dsFJhmYxC3LqLxqHcErC2btZ61Kqr9jt5L-uEyQ30C-qbob-usfgY_suSbv46msdW7FNV2ouos5msU8Mpiks0rAk_bnxszZ0nApciz1a2PKN2vrJ8PWeXw/s1600/DSC04907.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitca8W-XMxpFtiQCpBL7KH1dsFJhmYxC3LqLxqHcErC2btZ61Kqr9jt5L-uEyQ30C-qbob-usfgY_suSbv46msdW7FNV2ouos5msU8Mpiks0rAk_bnxszZ0nApciz1a2PKN2vrJ8PWeXw/s1600/DSC04907.JPG" height="400" width="361" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The sentiment was fussy cut from the paper pad as well as all the flowers on the side panels. I added cute little pearls to the flower centers.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIWPY45DF4S-_wHBwvOido3y2DzpuEbrDKM-PBmgBkHOqIe5vNwG__xBRpUoLYxpZ0-ni5LxZug_TlNlIBp-KC3bjyidmzez21yAQpga-AOZupxtctuVRvG5mAIzyivkhc2VVZciyihqc/s1600/DSC04905.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIWPY45DF4S-_wHBwvOido3y2DzpuEbrDKM-PBmgBkHOqIe5vNwG__xBRpUoLYxpZ0-ni5LxZug_TlNlIBp-KC3bjyidmzez21yAQpga-AOZupxtctuVRvG5mAIzyivkhc2VVZciyihqc/s1600/DSC04905.JPG" height="400" width="342" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the back of the card where I can write my message to the recipient. Some simple fussy cut elements adorn the corners.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I think it turned out so cute and I really cannot wait for my roses to bloom come Spring.I really miss seeing all the beautiful colors in my garden.</div>

Today, I'm going to share my take on Tim Holtz's February tag. I just loved Tim's version so I stuck very closely to his original design.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1uXpe-2tZby4PR-D9RroL4zI71aEInFLgliwfMAGFxYl7svvgyTRe36tbgyJHcwb3QTjvYddRc1PWBH22zfhQxl-CzbBWLOw7YoPZxrNufaSDdnc5cV1B3svCK7-Fyd_F-ZBqgJCk-cc/s1600/DSC04880.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1uXpe-2tZby4PR-D9RroL4zI71aEInFLgliwfMAGFxYl7svvgyTRe36tbgyJHcwb3QTjvYddRc1PWBH22zfhQxl-CzbBWLOw7YoPZxrNufaSDdnc5cV1B3svCK7-Fyd_F-ZBqgJCk-cc/s1600/DSC04880.JPG" height="365" width="400" /></a></div>

February Tag</div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXwwyOctKigpzx6Rkw_AYhGiFV1rsO6kDlTxz2U7xusZaaLIU-rIoogCiYX1RFpav6OyGgSfoEz9BnCCP7bLd-fcZAhlZ89VHBUBcKDhTZMIGMIZhIR2QKaVHFJ2uIuymGlEmkDB4VNjc/s1600/DSC04882.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXwwyOctKigpzx6Rkw_AYhGiFV1rsO6kDlTxz2U7xusZaaLIU-rIoogCiYX1RFpav6OyGgSfoEz9BnCCP7bLd-fcZAhlZ89VHBUBcKDhTZMIGMIZhIR2QKaVHFJ2uIuymGlEmkDB4VNjc/s1600/DSC04882.JPG" height="400" width="362" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First, I created the background using bits of the Wallflower paper pad since I didn't have the ephemera pack. I sealed it and added the shadow effect with the Black Soot Distress marker and splattered a little bit of black paint on top. I wanted to soften up the edges of the tag so dabbed Picket Fence Distress Paint on all the edges, after sanding them lightly with the sanding block.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I don't own the Movers and Shapers heart die so I had to create my own out of chipboard. I cut 3 hearts by hand and glued them together for dimension. Then I painted the heart red and used glossy accents to cover it with Festive Berries Distress Glitter. I just really felt like having some sparkle on my tag!The tiny key hangs from the heart with a piece of embroidery floss and since I didn't have a word band I used Chit Chat and Label stickers to create my sentiment.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I really liked the way Tim attached the heart charm to the arrow so I did it the same way.Then added bits of lace and a mini corner on the bottom left corner of the tag. I topped off my tag with a seam binding bow and Voila!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Loving the way it turned out and I cannot wait to see what Tim has in store for us for March! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!</div>

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines day and are enjoying this beautiful Sunday. Today I'm sharing a new project I created as guest designer for SaCrafters. <span id="goog_690857757"></span><a href="http://www.sacrafters.com/" target="_blank">SaCrafters<span id="goog_690857758"></span> </a>carries unique shadowboxes, storage boxes and other items made out of wood, mdf and chipboard. For today's project I used the <a href="http://www.sacrafters.com/product/wood-baby-girl-dress-layer-shadow-box/" target="_blank">Baby Girl Dress Layered Shadowbox</a> and turned it into a cute birth announcement.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEio_c77webdte6ZOUqrRScwjQmnlaWJkHwN-RYObhGtR-cn2zrCy1v70OdoVGaMA3Hm4q9oQfsa5xFu1HSqA_qap7lzYlLBqcGSgDrDnYFF0LQGPXuFmUD-JrpANNq5zVfPU4ZaozQvvso/s1600/DSC04856.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEio_c77webdte6ZOUqrRScwjQmnlaWJkHwN-RYObhGtR-cn2zrCy1v70OdoVGaMA3Hm4q9oQfsa5xFu1HSqA_qap7lzYlLBqcGSgDrDnYFF0LQGPXuFmUD-JrpANNq5zVfPU4ZaozQvvso/s1600/DSC04856.JPG" height="387" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love it! I think it turned out so precious! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The picture is of my youngest daughter at only 6 days old. She's 9 years old now and this sweet picture just brought me so many sweet memories.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9g4g8M4VEIWSgX8uPJ2_h6nkJJiDGWZHhXLeJw45jQumLClSDa6sLIY40m_GXMDyMitgE9r1XgF-lnX03HOm7ZFnDqtfYerLH3P8Nf46fMlPmknEdito4INAl_GWX9nUtICeBkuhaCN8/s1600/DSC04858.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9g4g8M4VEIWSgX8uPJ2_h6nkJJiDGWZHhXLeJw45jQumLClSDa6sLIY40m_GXMDyMitgE9r1XgF-lnX03HOm7ZFnDqtfYerLH3P8Nf46fMlPmknEdito4INAl_GWX9nUtICeBkuhaCN8/s1600/DSC04858.JPG" height="342" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used Kaisercraft's "Bundle of Joy" paper pad and fussy cut some elements to add to the shadowbox. I covered a few bare wood blocks with scraps of paper, added cute miniatures and a small piece of rosette trim to create a nursery scene.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFJuMOOTIySfRwQ3N-GT1MZ0W9Cx8Aw4_9JHyd70unTzqXkRtovYsKE5ptxec8JE-cMexHRZ4_e8Nke6kYtyEDc5bVwhUDWVKBwLD_2p8EI3bZhivirFvZ_Oems0W1lnh9na6HAhfsPZ4/s1600/DSC04859.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFJuMOOTIySfRwQ3N-GT1MZ0W9Cx8Aw4_9JHyd70unTzqXkRtovYsKE5ptxec8JE-cMexHRZ4_e8Nke6kYtyEDc5bVwhUDWVKBwLD_2p8EI3bZhivirFvZ_Oems0W1lnh9na6HAhfsPZ4/s1600/DSC04859.JPG" height="400" width="372" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here you can see the distressing I did on the shadowbox. I first painted the entire thing with warm white acrylic paint, dabbed some petroleum jelly in some areas, then painted it with a coat of baby pink acrylic paint. I used fine grain sandpaper to remove some of the topcoat of paint and further distressed it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgw_j-roftZ0ee0Om7XWmYV7aGp6-UqDkLQDaNGlbNfujK4CFMKYtraWJvEpLChD2fvg3xRV9DmTQscb5dBHFQ-50s2PELxeODDaFpv0YlcfLNatFMEJWbUaLTyu4qd9OQxan_UxmSzYHQ/s1600/DSC04861.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgw_j-roftZ0ee0Om7XWmYV7aGp6-UqDkLQDaNGlbNfujK4CFMKYtraWJvEpLChD2fvg3xRV9DmTQscb5dBHFQ-50s2PELxeODDaFpv0YlcfLNatFMEJWbUaLTyu4qd9OQxan_UxmSzYHQ/s1600/DSC04861.JPG" height="400" width="357" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I covered the back of the shadowbox with the pattern paper and added the stats of my baby's birth.The cute little feet are stickers I've had in my stash for years.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVRf0ElV5EegjGCa-0EwgsM8L5rRtdlAcJDMfUInjIKBYQImI90dE13ga-b5PhpJeSuJgjY16AWAuBchYms7b-xvvOqYDxQ-paZZI4bcCsCUMuOFfbNbymOwlQq2nIMExl9UGQHFUEhGY/s1600/DSC04862.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVRf0ElV5EegjGCa-0EwgsM8L5rRtdlAcJDMfUInjIKBYQImI90dE13ga-b5PhpJeSuJgjY16AWAuBchYms7b-xvvOqYDxQ-paZZI4bcCsCUMuOFfbNbymOwlQq2nIMExl9UGQHFUEhGY/s1600/DSC04862.JPG" height="400" width="372" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I added a piece of ribbon to the back so it can easily hang and be displayed in the home, as a beautiful keepsake.Lastly, I added pearls ( one at a time) to the rim of the shadowbox.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I think this project would make for such a wonderful gift and is such a sweet way to announce the birth of a new baby.I really do love the way it turned out.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I hope you all enjoyed my project share for today.</div>

I've been asked by the ever talented Sa, owner of SaCrafters, to be a guest DT member for the month of February. Sa designs creative and functional alterables out of wood, mdf, and chipboard. She sent me some great pieces to work with and today I'm going to share the first of four projects.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9tUnsnQ2SnZTHAIjZVmGpMoV716J_1WR9xu0MZKND5QhIJlJ00CoxXjjc-aGZqPQz72snwHDZMHN6PY6Dmw0WU5bZjPc6orYwo7-eV4RR7zgZD0w6qTQZa_Mgihx0l7Alqvpb2p5cXW8/s1600/DSC04838.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9tUnsnQ2SnZTHAIjZVmGpMoV716J_1WR9xu0MZKND5QhIJlJ00CoxXjjc-aGZqPQz72snwHDZMHN6PY6Dmw0WU5bZjPc6orYwo7-eV4RR7zgZD0w6qTQZa_Mgihx0l7Alqvpb2p5cXW8/s1600/DSC04838.JPG" height="370" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the<span id="goog_664754757"></span> <a href="http://www.sacrafters.com/product/w-triangle-shadow-box/" target="_blank">Triangle Shadowbox</a><span id="goog_664754758"></span> available in her shop. As soon as I saw it, it made me think of the "Tropical Travelogue" collection by Graphic 45. I just knew it would be perfect for this project.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgy2WZY3eFBSK-RE0s1qUuTyHlVBIvHNUF0a2a05_4MB-dMkabGYs3fJ5z2YSR6LdediAG8CGzatUsn88D0ydIh0fsZzWHiDRovr0MK_lnRmd_JEgrKV1QxxhoEvwqwqB9IKelPDsjx6mY/s1600/DSC04839.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgy2WZY3eFBSK-RE0s1qUuTyHlVBIvHNUF0a2a05_4MB-dMkabGYs3fJ5z2YSR6LdediAG8CGzatUsn88D0ydIh0fsZzWHiDRovr0MK_lnRmd_JEgrKV1QxxhoEvwqwqB9IKelPDsjx6mY/s1600/DSC04839.JPG" height="328" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Inside, I created a tropical 3 dimensional scene. I did a lot of fussy cutting and layered all my pieces with foam and bits of moss.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJ7G_SwNjDWvucgJJGgsZSL5z-6HijuQhqCIUl-WcuIRFFJqOW4FFUCrzh10Wq-LtpwtnblPlWnx-HjZaiPMwjCqH-GexeXFjumPgAVsI0UliBmVvDfJP9hwhlbk2lPmr2h1-OGw14C5A/s1600/DSC04837.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJ7G_SwNjDWvucgJJGgsZSL5z-6HijuQhqCIUl-WcuIRFFJqOW4FFUCrzh10Wq-LtpwtnblPlWnx-HjZaiPMwjCqH-GexeXFjumPgAVsI0UliBmVvDfJP9hwhlbk2lPmr2h1-OGw14C5A/s1600/DSC04837.JPG" height="335" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The small glass bottles were brushed with Clear Rock Candy Crackle Paint and stained with Vintage Photo Distress Stain to give them a weathered look. I then filled them with different colored sand and added sea shells around them.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For the sides, I added bits of decorative netting and fussy cut flowers and leaves from the paper collection.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGnP9CpcW7IcAY8rm5oUWDk9YdgVHBIlZ_jOywQDMqX-2FmcqfDhyLUYLf5zH6XoUDyu5ojCfeWoyNuIgQjbGu6jWjFOp6CphYo-rx1syyExwxoOLXtZ_GF3r6fcQwp0bmrCalsBxIk3s/s1600/DSC04842.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGnP9CpcW7IcAY8rm5oUWDk9YdgVHBIlZ_jOywQDMqX-2FmcqfDhyLUYLf5zH6XoUDyu5ojCfeWoyNuIgQjbGu6jWjFOp6CphYo-rx1syyExwxoOLXtZ_GF3r6fcQwp0bmrCalsBxIk3s/s1600/DSC04842.JPG" height="398" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is the back of the shadowbox. I simply layered some fussy cut elements to create a sort of collage.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I just love the way the shadowbox turned out and I think it would be a great way to display mementos from your tropical getaways.</div>
