Berry Basket Gift Baskets and Sweet Goodies for Valentine's Day

Hi everyone! I'm back today with another  Valentine's Day project. I met up with a couple of sweet friends last Friday and I wanted to make them a little something, something. We don't get to see each other very often because we live so far apart from one another. So it's always nice to get together and catch up and share a few laughs. Being that Valentine's Day is right around the corner, I thought some sweet V-Day projects were in order.

I had picked up a pack of berry baskets from my local craft store during Christmas time (marked down 80%). Score! The color was perfect for V-day so I just added some crinkle tissue and filled them with little crafty goodies to create these sweet gift baskets. Quick and easy little gift.

And who doesn't love something sweet for Valentine's day? I filled these glassine bags with chocolate hearts, wrapped bakers twine around them and added a cute circular tag and clothespin.

You can't give a gift without a card so I created 2 different cards for each of my friends. I made one vintage and the other shabby chic.

The sweet vintage die cuts are by K and Company. I picked them up a few years back and I still love them. I sprinkled the roses with Diamond Dust and then dabbed white acrylic paint on top for a shabbier look.

My friends loved their gifts and I loved spending time with them. Can't wait for our next meet up.
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Valentine's Day Mini Mailbox Favors

Hey everybody! Back to share another Valentine's Day project. I recently picked up some Dollar Spot finds at Target and wanted to create something cute for Kaylah's teachers. I lucked out this year and got my hands on those cute mini mailboxes that come out every year. How perfect would these be turned into little favor boxes right? That's what I thought too, so I brought out some paper and and assorted embellishements and went to town.

I altered 3 mini mailboxes and I think they turned out so cute!

I also made coordinating mini cards to fit inside each mailbox.

Each mailbox comes with a little bag  of Hershey's kisses and a cute little card. I think this is such a sweet way to thank the teachers for all that they do. My daughter is so excited and cannot wait for Valentine's day!

Hope I've inspired you to create some cute favors of your own. The mailboxes and sticker packs were all purchased at Target for $1 each. Very inexpensive but oh so sweet!!!

Have a great day everybody!

Valentine's Day Cards using Dies

Hi everybody! Valentine's Day is right around the corner so I thought I'd get started on my V-Day projects a little earlier than last year. And to get me in the mood, I started off by making some cards. This year it's all about using what you have rather going out and buying a ton of new things. If you're anything like me, you have a ton of craft supplies that are still untouched, probably still in the package, right? So I vowed to find new and creative uses for all my old stuff and how to incorporate them in my projects. The cards I created were made using dies that aren't Valentine's day related and I think they turned out super cute!

I had a lot of fun making these cards.Hopefully I've inspired you to take out your old dies and find new ways to use them in your projects. Let me know what you think!

Dies used:
Sizzix Mason Jar 658466
Tim Holtz Alterations Sewing Room
Tim Holtz Alterations Caged Bird

Tim Holtz Tags of 2015, January

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful New year. A new year means 12 months of new tags, yay! Tim started off the year with a bang and created such a gorgeous tag for January. I finally found some time to create it, so here's my take on this month's tag.

January Tag

I was so glad to have almost all the products Tim used on his tag, to create my own. I followed Tim's techniques for the background but I used Broken China, Weathered Wood, Peeled Paint, and Antique Linen Distress paint.

The words were painted with Tarnished Brass Distress paint. I crinkled and dyed seam binding to create the bow on top of the tag.

I didn't have Tarnished Brass Distress Glitter so I used Antique Linen and just dabbed Tarnished Brass distress paint on top of the glittered number, using my finger. All the chit chat stickers used are for my New Year's resolutions. I want to spend more time with my family, have new adventures and create timeless memories. The bottom portion of the tag is my resolutions for crafting. To embrace imperfections, continue to imagine, create and inspire.

So there you have it, my take on Tim's January tag. There's still plenty of time to play along.
